PERFORMANCE-BASED EVENT TO WIN A BASKET!
*You must have a rating to compete for the basket.
Performance-Based:
This is a performance-based event where you are playing against your rating. Your score is based on how much above or below your expected score you shoot. Whoever shoots the most below his or her expected score will win an AXIOM PRO BASKET! The expected scores for each rating are listed below:
1010-1019: 48
1000-1009: 49
990-999: 50
980-989: 51
970-979: 52
960-969: 53
950-959: 54
940-949: 55
930-939: 56
920-929: 57
910-919: 58
900-909: 59
890-899: 60
880-889: 61
870-879: 62
860-869: 63
850-859: 64
Below 850: 65
As an example, a person rated 905 is expected to shoot a 59. If he shoots a 54, he shot 5 better than expected, so his score is a -5.
Tiebreaker:
If 2 or more people tie for 1st place, the tiebreaker will not be a playoff. Instead, we will compare each player's score on the front 9 of the course to their expected score on the front 9. The expected score on the front 9 will be half of their expected score on the entire course. If there is still a tie, we'll look at each player's score on holes 7-15. The 3rd tiebreaker will be holes 4-12.
The reason there will not be a play-off is because scores are based on performance relative to rating, so a playoff could be very unfair.
Rated Round:
Since this is a sanctioned event, your round will be rated.
Other Information:
The one-round doubles BYOP tournament will take place after this event. For those who choose to play both events, there will be at least an hour lunch break before the doubles tournament starts.
