About this tournament

The Ice Bowl is a collection of disc golf events that are held each year in January and February with an overall mission of raising funds to fight hunger. Related goals include having fun and connecting the disc golf community in a positive way to the community at large.
This will be the 7th annual Ice Bowl held at Oregon Park. This year’s event is to try to raise money for MUST Ministries. MUST is a powerful, volunteer-driven organization, MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families and children with facilities in the Cobb and Cherokee counties and programs in numerous other counties. MUST brings people of many faiths together to respond to God's challenge to minister to others with compassion and love, without judgment of the beliefs, background or circumstances of those who serve or are being served.
This event will be two rounds of singles competition at Oregon Park. There will be six divisions. Each division will be competing for trophies only, three trophies, per division. The divisions are:
• Open
• Advanced
• Advanced Master
• Intermediate
• Recreational
• Novice
There will be online signup through 12:15 PM on Friday, February 7, 2014. If available, we will be accepting day-of registration on Saturday, February 8, 2014 between 8AM and 9AM. Online registration is $25.00 plus online fees. Day-of registration will be $30.00, no exceptions.
There will be three optional actions during the tournament. Funds can be donated to these optional actions can be donated online or in person(without penalty) at any point prior to the two minute warning of the first round.
• ACE Pool – There will be a $2 ACE pool. The funds donated to the ACE pool will be held for ACEs made during both rounds. If someone hits an ACE during the tournament, they will collect the funds donated to the ACE Pool. If two or more people hit an ACE during the tournament, those same people will split the funds donated to the ACE pool. If nobody hit an ACE during the tournament, then the funds donated to the ACE pool will be donated to MUST Ministries. There will not be a throw off for, for the ACE fund, if nobody hits an ACE during this Fund Raiser event.
• 5 CTPs for $5.00 – There will be 5 CTPs (Closest to Pin, not pad) per division. These CTPs will be in place for both rounds
• $5.00 Side Action – For those of you who think that playing for a trophy is just silly, we have some side action for you. The side action will be for the better cumulative scores of both rounds, per division.
