Windy conditions kept the scores in check with Justin tHaley carrying his partener to a -6 and the win.
Sunday october 30th is $10 entry fee and double points day!!
Mark it down in your calenders! as we will play the front 9 from the shorts and the back 9 from the longs.
After sunday, Dave O'Shea and RPGII sure won't be forgetting the "Toth"
The ever exciting Ryan closed the gap slightly with partner papa wehner shooting a -13 and sliding in 45 points from the lead.
The ace pool now groes to over $260 and should draw bigger & bigger crowds as it continues to climb.
Drawing Cali sunday was just the spark chrisrob wehner needed to move up 2 spots in the standings and challenge Osh & RPG for the 2011 title.
With a blistering -9 from the Pro tee's he now only trails Osh by 36 points.
Ace Pool now groes to olmost $250!
The Top 4 Positions for Doubles title just got allot closer. Only 65 Points seperates those players with Fall season quickly approaching.
Ron GravelleII & Osh are only seperated by 3 points, while Toth & Hoyle are not far behind (Chris Woj is departing us and is excluded, although Great shooting this year Woj!)

We move into the 9th month of the year, which means that 2/3 of 2011 is over. And with 2/3 of the year over the lead is held by Dave J. O'Shea, by a solid 20-odd point margin over Ron P. Gravelle. Woj is hard charging and sitting suddenly in 3rd place, but has finished his season in the Michigan Ohio Border region.
This week saw Woj draw the cali chip and drop a 43 (-11) on the course, holding off Dave O'Shea and Chris Hoyle's very solid 46 (-8). Next week the field will move t ...

With Ron GravelleII missing in action sunday Osh took advantage and took home first with Partner Marty peters.
Osh is now only 34 points behind heading into the long tee's next week.
Ace pool now resides at over $100 again!
After losing in a narrow points battle in 2010 Ron GravelleII is playing like a man possesed in 2011.
Sunday was no different as he and partner Baron T. won in a 3 way playoff for first place.
It will take an amazing jump to bypass RPGII......
But stranger things have happened ;)
Attempted a new experiment this week at Vienna Park Sunday Doubles - Nathan Hoyle played. In a 3-some. Prior to drawing chips for partners, Nathan (10 years old) drew a chip. He became an honorary "3rd team member" for team 13. Woj and Jim Miller drew chip 13, and so looked to be paired with the young gun, but an error led to a redraw...at which point Woj promptly drew 13 again, as did Chris Hoyle.
Nathan provided countless helpful 12-15 footers, putting first, and the Hoyles won it, with a little bit of help from Woj.
Dave Stoll & Dustin St. Albin cleared Vienna Parks $118 ace pool ($59 each)
Chris Woj & Rob Dartt took home the win sunday with a -13
RPGII distanced himself in the points.
Next week long tee's!
Vienna has been in an 18 hole format for about a decade now. Vienna Sunday Doubles has been an ongoing event since before the move to 18 holes. After a decade of play - a perfect 18 under par has finally been shot at the course. Ron Gravelle II and Matt Bogart went the entire circuit, starting on 4 and finishing on 3, with nothing but deuces.
Not a neutered layout either - with holes 3, 15, 16, 17, and 18 all playing in their tough positions. Hell of a round, and congratulations to the new re ...

With a DIscmania Craze - Brandon Butler hit an ace worth an even $600 at Vienna Sunday Dubs this weekend. It is the largest ace pot ever recorded at Vienna. He banked it off of a tree and in on hole number 8 (coincidentally: the same hole that the second largest ace pot was hit on by Mike Tipping).
Mike Henry and Marty Peters won the round with a -14, tying Chris Wojciechowski/Alan Pfaff and then beating them on a CTP after a 3-hole playoff solved nothing.
Vienna Dubs hits a new record reaching $549 with another huge turnout sunday.
Next week from the shorts should see another record turnout!
Dave O'Shea capped off a solid year finishing with a win with partner carl rice ffrom the long tee's sunday.
The win capped off a great year for Osh capturing 12 Victories this year.
Carl rice finished off strong with 3 wins in a row over the last 3 weeks proving he will be a player to watch in 2011.
Thanks everyone for a great year of Dubs. New season starts Jan 3rd!
See you then
Carl Rice & Ryan Toth have come on strong as the 2010 Season begins to wind down. Shooting a -13 in less than favorable conditions sunday at League.
Dave O'Shea has all but captured the Doubles title for 2010 sunday Drawing Cali and holding a 37 point lead over the semi-retired Chris Hoyle. RPGII solidified his spot in 3rd and may be gunning for 2nd with 2 weeks remaining.
You have to admire any player whom is willing to brave horrid conditions to play a round of Disc Golf. 6 Players did just that sunday & Dave O'Shea Recaptured his spot at the top of the points with He & Partner Nick Gray's -2
Claiming 18 points and propelling him to a 14 point lead with only 2 weeks remaining in the year.
Ryan Toth and taylor cross just missed forcing a playoff with a -1.
Next week we will shoot the long tee's, if RpgII or Hoyle have aspirations of catching Osh they will have to man up & brave the elements.
Ron Gravelle II is not about to lay down and call it quits for 2010 just yet. He & carl rice shattered the competition sunday besting 2nd place by 4 strokes. The win put RPGII within striking distance with just 3 weeks left for the 2010 season. (Points will reset for 2011)
Ryan Toth and Rob Dartt brought home 2nd followed by Dan Mowka and Bogart in 3rd.
David O'Shea managed to squeak out a cpl more points with a CTP earning him 6 points and closing the gap between he & Chris Hoyle.
Long Tee's next week
Marty Peters, a Discraft sponsored Pro, made a rare apperance sunday at Vienna Park. He and Partner Chris Hoyle made short work of the pro tee's, duecing holes #14,16,18 to name a few.
Ron Gravelle II turned his luck around sunday as well drawing Cali & taking home $20 and twenty points as well.
Chris Hoyle managed to re-gain the points lead with 4 weeks left bringing it right down to the wire between he & osh.
Although not mathmatically out of it, Ronnie would have to have allot of luck on his side to win the points series....
But stranger things have happened,
Kyle Schaechterle brought home 3rd place sunday but more importantly he brought home an additional $328 cash.
Paul Hawk and Chrisrob picked up the victory in a playoff over tipping and Bogart.
The top 3 in points failed to cash or pick up any points as there are only a few weeks left for the points series

Next week we head back to the long tee's.
The cold and wind couldn't stop Robert Dartt from getting his first ever victory at Vienna Park sunday Doubles, The up & coming player (who was taught by yours truely ;) Played solid & smooth golf all day sunday cashing $60 for his efforts.
The win didn't some easy though as he & osh wer'e only -5 coming into there final hole. Dartt put his drive on the dance floor & after Osh didn't connect on his putt, Rob stepped up & Canned the putt. Coming in tied ...

It was the James and James show sunday... James Rose is in his rookie year of Disc Golf but has been grinding away week after week at All the dubs legues. Sunday it paid off as He & Frenchy took home the win over Toth and M2 Kruse.
