hahahah this is hilarious..furthermore indy lake is one of the best around and is continually being changed for OUR enjoyment...u will find thorns anywhere throwing arrant shots...

Furthermore, it's always cloudy and raining there, and windy. really windy. Lots of dangerous things at Indy so please leave it to us to continually monitor the situation. We'll post up here when the course is safe for all casuals to play. Until then I would stick to Cass Benton. :)

Indy Lake is a sweet course it's fun and all the shots are good practice, apparently y'all need a lot of lol keep it in the fairway and there's no thorns or ivy I've played many rounds there and the only way I've lost any discs is the drink on six

independence lake disc golf course is possibly the Worst course in history... with the exception of maybe 2 or three holes this course is worthless. dirt tees , poison ivy and thorn bushes on every hole along every inch of rough , need a spotter on almost all of the holes, very unkept

General Notes: We decided to add a third set of tees to the course - Red tees being the shortest. These will be natural at first. Didn't design a new red tee on all holes, so we will still need to do more work to have 18 red tees. Some holes where a new white or black was added the old white is now a red. Added a few new pin placements with the thinking here that the long term goal is to have a B pin on every hole. Most of these changes have been flagged so you are welcome to go out a ... more

These changes are all proposed and we will have at least two more walkthroughs before these are finalized and concrete is poured.

Without further ado..

Hole 1:
Move Black Tee up (flagged)
Move White Tee back (flagged)
Make Red Tee (old white location)
Discussed removing some trees, will depend on park approval. Previously the park has not allowed any tree removal on hole 1 since the trees are Hickory.

Hole 2: No Changes
Need a red tee

Hole 3:
Move White Tee back slightly (flagged), remove russian olive near new white tee location.
Need a red tee

Hole 4:
Make a B pin placement closer to the edge (flagged), shore up area with a rock or wood retaining wall. If rock look at using rocks near hole 1.
Making the pin more visible alleviates confusion from hole 11s basket being visible from 4s tee. Also creates more risk/reward and a more interesting putting green.
Need a red tee

Hole 5:
Move White Tee (flagged) near where hole 11 short tee used to be. Creates shot reachable by ams and the basket is visible from the tee. Shot closely resembles approach from a good drive from the blacks
Make a B pin placement (flagged) - basket moved further away and to the right.
Need a red tee

Hole 6:
No Changes to Black or White
Make a red tee on the top of the hill (flagged) with a good view of basket.

Hole 7:
New White tee (flagged) - bottom of hill creating a big hyzer for a lefty. Requires clearing of russian olive and some trimming of pine tree.
Old White becomes new Red
Black not changed

Hole 8:
Created Black tee centered in fairway (flagged)
Black becomes White
White becomes Red

Hole 9:
Make Red Tee (flagged) near the chairs.

Hole 10:
No Changes, need red tee

Hole 11:
No Changes
Looked at a possible B pin placement on side of hill left of path.
need red tee

Hole 12:
No Changes, need red tee

Hole 13:
No Changes, need red tee

Hole 14:
Black tee added (flagged)
Black becomes White
White becomes Red

Hole 15:
Black Tee added (flagged)
Black becomes White
White becomes Red

Hole 16:
White Tee added (flagged)
Black unchanged
White becomes red? Or look at a new red tee

Hole 17:
No Changes, need a red tee

Hole 18:
Made a B pin placement (flagged) that is not visible from hole 15s pad, moved up.
New Black Tee (flagged) moved back
New White Tee (flagged) moved back
White becomes Red

There is a key to a Pontiac car that looks like someone found out on the course sitting in the plastic box on the message board near hole 1 on the chuck d. Maybe it is yours or maybe you know which car it will start.

The 3 new holes on Chuck D. are fun. Made the course around 2 strokes harder, I think.
