ALL AMS RECEIVE A CUSTOM STAMP DISC
Hey everyone. Thanks so much for signing up for the first-ever sanctioned event at Cedar Creek! We appreciate your support and are happy to have you. This is going to be a long email but it's important you read this. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE NEW RULES SET FORTH BY THE PDGA CAN RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION!!! Here are a few things to know.
1. There will be no player meeting the morning of the event. EVERY player must check-in before they go out to the course. Failure to check-in at the RV could result in disqualification. At check-in, EVERY player will receive a paper scorecard. Am players will also be able to pick out their player pack disc. After you have checked in, please leave the RV area and do not linger. Player check in will be between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Tee time will be 9:00 a.m.
2. There will be no scoreboard for this event. You will find out what hole you start on by going to the PDGA event page located athttps://www.pdga.com/tour/event/45695 The same thing goes for the second round. Scores will also be located on the page after each round.
3. There should be 2 people from each group keeping score. 1 person should volunteer to keep the score on a traditional paper card. DO NOT PASS THE CARD. A second person should volunteer to keep score using the PDGA Digital Scorecard. You can access this by going to www.pdga.com/score on your mobile device. It will ask you to enter a passcode for the event. The passcode is "cedar". From there the players on your card should already be pre-loaded. Just keep score like normal and confirm the scores at the end. Paper cards should also be turned in to the RV to confirm the scores.
4. I will post the second-round tee time on all the local Facebook pages. Make sure you're back on your hole in plenty of time to tee off. Your second round hole assignment will also be found on the PDGA webpage.
5. We are not allowed to have water on the course. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND WATER FOR THIS EVENT!!!! The nearest restaurants are a pretty far drive so I would recommend bringing your own lunch.
6. There will be no awards. Once your round is over, please head home. Do not linger in the parking lot near the RV.
7. The payout for the AMS will be at the store ready to go as soon as possible. Bear will be working until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday to make sure that if you need to get your payout before you head home that you can. If you are local, you can pick it up anytime you want. Pro payout will be via Paypal. If you cash, I will confirm your PayPal and send it out on Sunday.
8. This is a PDGA event. We want everyone to have fun but anyone caught breaking the substance policy during the round WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!
Here are a few social distancing rules that will be in effect. If you violate these, you WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!!!
- Only 1 person inside the "circle" at a time. This means everyone needs to be outside of the 32-foot circle to give everyone room to putt and tap out. Please give everyone plenty of distance to tap out.
- If there is a backup, and there will be, you should not congregate with the card in front of you. Please stay at least 20 feet behind the group in front of you. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CONGRETATING WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!!
-If you bring a non-compeitor with you such as a caddy or girlfriend/boyfriend/friend, they are also subject to all these rules. Please make sure everyone is being safe and following the social distancing guidelines.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Stay hydrated and play well!
