Veterans for Vets - Benefiting Homeless Veterans Service of Dallas
About this tournament
We will be hosting a Veterans for Vets tournament on December 19 at Alex Clark. All proceeds will benefit the Homeless Veterans Service of Dallas (“HVSD”).
For those who are unfamiliar with this charity, it is one of the most active and directly involved veteran charities in Texas. They provide a place for homeless veterans to have a meal, shower, and even provide job training and placement services.

We will be running a $5 buy-in ace pot. If the pot is hit, half of the pot will pay out to the winner, and the other half will pay to the HVSD. If nobody wins the pot, 100% will go the the HVSD.
A "player meeting" email will be sent to all registered players on the evening before the event. This email will contain information regarding the flow of the event and any changes to the course or rules. Tee times will also be sent to all registered players at that time.
Tee times will begin at 8:30 and will be spaced 20 minutes apart. This will help to prevent backups with rec players and also provide the ability for us to be flexible with cards/tee times/and walk-on players. We will try to accommodate any specific needs for tee times, and all military veterans will have preference over all other players.
If the tournament is not full by the start of the event, walk-on players will be permitted with either cash or paypal fee payment.
Veterans Basket Raffle:
Tickets will be in person throughout the day at this event. There will be a maximum of 200 tickets available at $5 each or $20 for five tickets. If all 200 tickets are not sold on the day of the event, we will make the remaining tickets available for purchase online.
Once all 200 tickets are sold, the drawing will be conducted via facebook live, and all ticketholders will receive an email notifying them of the time this will occur. To respect the privacy of all individuals, we will not announce the name of the winner or post photos of the winner unless the winner gives his or her consent to do so. Should the winner of the basket choose to decline the prize, it will be auctioned again under the same terms to raise additional funds for our charity.
