About this tournament

This is our inaugural tournament for Black Bear DGC, and the first disc golf tournament in Scioto County! We are hoping to make this a yearly event. The Nati will be providing our players packs and payouts. As we all know, they have a HUGE selection of inventory.

If you habe never been to Shawnee State Park, this is a great opportunity. The park has great camping, a large lodge, and even cabins for players wanting to stay the whole weekend. The lodge has told me that they will offer a discount for anybody wanting to stay there. The course is literally right beside the lodge and only a 2 minute drive from the campsites.

For those that have never played Black Bear, it is 18 holes set at Par 61. 2 rounds on this course. Field is limited to 72. I don't want to cram more than 4 people per card. This may drop to par 60 for the tournament. It is fairly mountainous (if that can even be a thing in Ohio). There is a 300 feet gain in elevation between the lowest and highest holes. So, bring your Billy goat legs.

We have 7 concrete pads on the course currently, parks has told me that they hope to have the remaining concrete pads in before the tournament. At the very least, we will make sure that every pad is level. Baskets are innova... so great to putt on.

Following the tournament, we will have awards and an after party at the lodge bar. Yes there is a bar about 200 feet away from the course! Sunday morniby, hoping to have a good doubles round at either 9 or 10am.
