About this tournament
When:
October 15th 9am
Format:
Flex Start 9am-4pm. Two rounds of 18 holes, two throws per hole per player.
Course layout:
Special Layout at Tee Time Golf Complex
Entry fee: $35
Player package:
All 2016 players received two identical Discraft ESP prototype discs made especially for this year's Ace Race, plus a high performance wicking t-shirt, a premium disc golf towel, reuseable scorecard, SuperColor mini, and a vinyl sticker. The 2017 player pack will be announced later this year. All included with your entry fee!
Rules of play:
Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs.
Players throw both disc on each hole, they receive one point for hitting the pole or basket, two points for hitting the chains, and 5 points for an ace.
After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round.
The player with the most aces after a 18 hole round is declared the winner. In case of ties, the winner is the player with the most points. If still tied then players will have a throw off.
$10 Cash Pool
If you want to play for cash, you can pay an additional $10. 75% of all cash collected will be paid out to the top (insert % here...not exceeding the standard 45% of players) with the remaining 25% going towards payout for the Pumpkin Shootout. Play as many additional rounds as you would like for $10 for each round played.
Prize package:
2016 grand prize for each event was a Discraft merchandise package, including a bag, eight new discs and a Supercolor Buzzz trophy disc. Large events (150+ players, ask your TD!) will also receive a CHAINSTAR BASKET as their grand prize! Events are also encouraged to offer an optional cash side pot for those who wish to participate, which is divided proportionally among the number of aces and/or metal hits.
Anyone who can't pick up any prizes or cash winnings can get it from the Sunday crew at on Sundays @9am
