Steady Ed Safari III

The “Steady” Ed Safari is an very unique event unlike any that you'll ever play. PDGA Tier XC sanctioning. Participants must be at least 13 years old and in good physical condition. The Safari holes that play inside, over and thru the Chasm, are extremely physically demanding! Be ready to throw off of 100 foot cliffs, over the river to baskets next to unique rock formations and ferried by raft by guides across the river to finish out holes.

The players pack will include (2) of your choice of the “Steady” Ed Signature Discs (Blowfly, Blowfly II, Blunt Gumbputt and Powerdrive Gumbputt) and a 2 day admission to Ausable Chasm. Additions to the players pack TBD. FYI the Blowfly and Blunt Gumbputt float and maybe retrieved if thrown into the water by kayak staff.

The tournament features two rounds: 45 holes total.
1st round 8:30-9:55 Trickle Start- 27 holes (10-18 red at Campground DGC (To get used to Steady Ed Signature discs and 18 Safari holes in Ausable Chasm). Players must have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 any combination of the 4 Steady Ed Signature discs listed above to be used for this round. Additional discs can be bought for $10. If you lose all your discs you will receive a 7 on each hole not played (par 3 plus 4 stroke penalty).

2nd round 2:00pm Shotgun Start 18 holes at Campground DGC with any PDGA approved discs. Pro's will play Gold tees, MM1, MA1, FA1 will play Blue tees, MA2, FA2 will play White tees and MA3, FA3 and Juniors will play Red tees.

MA1 & FA1 - $50, MA2 & FA2 - $45 and MA3, FA3 and Junior - $40. $60 All Professional Divisions.
*If you already have Steady Ed discs then you can choose $10 off registration instead.

NOTE: In the case of severe/dangerous weather or flash flooding in the Chasm, part or all of the tournament will be re-scheduled for Sunday 9-13-15.

Optional walk-thru of the safari holes on Friday (9/11/15) time TBA. Will meet at the Gatehouse parking lot on the south side of the Ausable Chasm Rt 9 bridge.
