NEO Disc Golf Alliance Presents The Frozen Finger Fairway Charity Tour Event #5
About this tournament
This is the last of 5 charity tournaments brought to you by the North East Ohio Disc Golf Alliance for 2011
$20 Flat fee for all divisions. The PDGA fees have been waived and will be donated to the charity. All percentages will be consistant with the previous events, and PDGA guidelines.
The point series is simple. Every time a player participates in an event they should enter the same division. In doing so, they will get a point for themself and a point for every player in their division that they beat. At the end, the top 30% of the field for each division will be payed out the money collected.
The final event will be at Sims Park in Euclid. It will be a PDGA Sanctioned Ice Bowl, worth double points for all participants.
** PLEASE NOTE **
The divisions will be restricted to the following for this event. To keep in line with the point series, the following divisions will be offered:
Pro - Men and Women
Am1 (Advanced) - Men and Women
MM1 (Adv. Masters) - Men and Women
Am2 (Intermediate) - Men and Women
There will be no Am3 (Recreational) division offered.
The only change to divisions really affects the Advanced group. There was some interest when the series started to have an Adv. Masters group. We decided against it for the entire series but felt it would be appropriate to add to the final event. However, since this is an on-going points event, the payout will alter just a tiny bit. Each division will be payed out individually, not cumulatively. IE, for the Euclid event, the Am1 monies will stay in that pool and the Adv. Masters money will stay in that pool. When it comes to paying out the points series, the final event scores will be shuffled together for both Adv. divisions and points awarded for Euclid in one large Advanced group.
For anyone choosing to change divisions for the final event, your points will not follow you. The points earned in a division, will remain in that division. There is no other way we can weight them and allow them to follow you. Thank you for understanding.
Each event will payout to those who participate. just as with the PDGA...
pros = cash... ams = merchandise
The charity will rotate annually. This year it is the Akron Food Bank.
Each event's proceeds will be set aside to be added together with the next... All money raised will be donated at one time at the end of the series.
