Welcome to the 2022 Lost Plantation Charity Open Presented by VOS Electric!
Our event is benefiting
CURE CHILDHOOD CANCER!
CURE is focused on improving the care, quality of life, and survival rate of children with cancer. They have raised millions of dollars to fund cutting-edge cancer research, focusing on projects which are likely to have a clinical or therapeutic impact within five years. Through innovative programming, CURE also provides support for patients and their families. Last year, our tournament raised over $3,000 for this charity through entry fees, raffle sales, and silent auction contributions.
As you play your round, you will be introduced to 18 children impacted by cancer and CURE. Each hole of the course is named after a child. You will be able to see their faces and read their stories as you play. Please take a moment to learn about each one of these amazing kids and their families and remember that CURE has helped support each one of them.
You can read more about CURE and its efforts at
https://curechildhoodcancer.org/.
This is a two-round event held on a temporary course set up at the beautiful Lost Plantation Golf Course in Rincon, GA. The event will feature tee times for each round on Saturday and Sunday. Players will be provided golf carts for the duration of their round courtesy of Lost Plantation.
PDGA COMPETITION ENDOWMENT PROGRAM
In order to maximize our charity donation, this event will be run under the PDGA Competition Endowment Program (CEP) regulations and will payout according to the CEP Charity requirements. This will be a PDGA XC-tier tournament and rounds
WILL be rated like a normal C-tier event. This guarantees that all PDGA fees normally required to run an event, plus a minimum percentage of all player entry fees will go straight to CURE!
PAYOUTS
To maximize our charity donation, all amateur divisions will be trophy-only. Every dollar of your net entry fee will go straight to CURE. The professional division (GOLD) will operate under PDGA CEP payout requirements, which means 25% of your net entry fee will automatically be donated to CURE and the rest will go to your cash payout.
MERCH
Player's Packs include a custom stamped disc, SDGA decal, and Dri-Fit shirt thanks to our partner Essential AF (Apparel and Fitness). The last day to register and guarantee your shirt size is 6/10.
50/50 CHARITY DOUBLES EVENTS
Join us Friday evening for our 50/50 BYOP draw doubles event, or Saturday evening for our 50/50 random draw doubles event! 50% of the buy-ins will go to player payouts, and the remaining 50% will go to CURE. Our sponsor VOS Electric has added an additional $250 to each doubles event payout. There will be an additional optional $5 ace pot for all players in the doubles match. If no aces are hit, the ace pool will be donated to CURE.
ACE POOL
All aces hit during the event will be eligible for Ace Pool winnings. To win, players must buy-in to the Ace Pool at registration or at check-in. Winnings will be split between all players who hit an ace. If no ace is hit, this pool money will be donated to CURE.
CTPS
There will be multiple free CTP’s available for all divisions during the event. You do NOT need to buy in to be eligible for these prizes. A full list of holes and eligible divisions will be in the player’s guide.
CHARITY CTP
An optional Charity CTP is available to all players at registration or check-in. The winner will receive a special prize donated by one of our generous sponsors. You must buy-in to be eligible to win this prize. All Charity CTP money will be donated to CURE.

DRESS CODE

DIVISIONS
This year we are operating under ratings-based divisions. All players will play according to their PDGA rating regardless of age or gender (exception is FPO for female professionals). Ratings are calculated as of the tournament date. If you do not have a PDGA rating, you may play the closest division according to your skill level, PDGA guidelines, and recommendations below. Players may be moved at the TD’s discretion. There must be at least four players per division. Players will be moved as necessary to meet minimum player count requirements.
