Lawrence County Disc Club is excited to announce “The 1st Annual Josie’s Journey Open - Powered by Prodigy” registration for this PDGA C-Tier trophy only event is NOW LIVE. The players packs prodigy is providing are EPIC!!! ($108 Value) ALL PREREGISTERED AM PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A PLAYERS PACK! This will mark the Second of our Three scheduled PDGA tournaments for the year and will be held at Scout Park in Lawrenceburg TN. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Shanon’s House of Compassion in Huntsville Alabama, a house that helps preemie parents with a place to stay close to the hospital during the first stages of their journey.
The newest member of the Lawrence County Disc Club Family, Josie Rynn Bevis, was born at 9:40 AM on Sunday June 17th, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. She blessed us with her presence a little sooner than expected and was born 23 weeks into term weighing 1 pound 6 ounces. Mom and Dad- WES AND MAGGIE BEVIS- are are very large part of our LCDC family. The journey for this family is going to be a long one but with the help Shanon's House of Compassion in Huntsville AL, they are able to stay (free of charge) in close proximity to the hospital. Making the daily trips to see Josie much easier on the family. The work that Shanon's House does for these families is one that will leave a lasting impact not only on the Bevis Family and LCDC, but also the lives of any families they have the opportunity to touch. This event is our way as a disc golf community to give back to this great cause and play our part in helping other families in the future have the same blessings and comfort. We are blessed with an incredible opportunity to use disc golf as a pedestal to further the works of other important parts of our world. Please join us in giving back.
