Word from the courses is that the smoke is not too bad. AQI is 164, and dropping. With cold air drainage overnight, and the tamping down of the fire in Sonora, I expect much better conditions tomorrow. We are a go!

Checking purple air, and seeing AQI approaches/passing 300 in both Twain Harte and mi wuk, which is pretty bad. Any foreseen impact??

Yup. I withdrew. We drove 2 hours straight through thick smoke. Hoping to get a refund.

Hope u get a refund? Im thinking about withdrawing as well cause im not gonna have the fam bam sit in the smoke. My daughter has athsma so family safety more important.

I drove in from South Lake Tahoe and got to the golf course at 3:15, air quality was totally fine and got better as the day progressed. Drive down was pretty horrible, though I expected that.

Golfers ( FIRE- TRAVEL UPDATE)

Last night there was a grass fire in Sonora. Local Cal Fire crews attended the fire overnight, and it is being held within fire lines. Sonora is a fair distance from Twain Harte with a lot of defensible space in between. There is no concern that this fire will expand to imperil either of the courses.

Highway 108 is currently closed between Jamestown and Sonora. The online maps are all recommending bypassing the area via Campo Seco Road – turn right at ... more

WE WILL BE ALSO HOSTING A NIGHT GLOW TOURNAMENT WITH 9 OR SO HOLES WITH TROPHYS SATURDAY NIGHT AT THREE LINKS WITH MODIFIED SHORTER TEE BOXES SO IF YOU HAVE GLOW STUFF THEN BRING IT.

We got a rv spot at angels camp rv for tonight
108 is closed between Jamestown and Sonora and in Sonora now due to the new fire
Some Locals we talked to seem confident that it will be handled quickly but that remains to be seen

Doubtful- pretty far from Twain Harte and they are aggressively dealing with it. We will update here if there are issues.

None expected. It has been fine so far this summer. A bit hazy, but not unplayable.

Hey Chris I’m sorry for any inconvenience but I was not expecting to get into the tournament so I ended up booking a trip to Los Angeles last minute, so I’d like to withdraw. I wish I was able to play. Next year for sure!

38 people have not given me a shirt size. All players get a shirt! Please go to your registration email - there is a link to allow you to enter your shirt size. This will reserve a shirt for your size. Note that 65 people have dropped out and been replaced since we ordered shirts. Please be understanding if you do not get a shirt the correct size!

You can change your registration details through discgolfscene. Since you are bumping up to pro division, you will need to pay another $10. I can’t move you - you will have to do it.

We have a lot of spaces in pool a - pros and am1. I will be moving people from the waitlists after registration closes on Monday. Right now, great chance for am1 waitlist to get in.
