There is added cash for the professional division that will be split throughout the pro fields on day 2.
This is the GRDoD Feature Event for 2018. 9 Berths to the Discraft Michigan State Championships will be competed for through 2 rounds of 18 on the Championship Course throughout the day.
Registration through the Meijer State Games of Michigan website is closed. http://events.clearthunder.com/SGMS18 It is best to notify me afterwards with a message through here or a post in the comments if you go through their process.
No cashless pre-reg. The first 45 registrants for the weekend will receive an extra disc from Discraft. Cash registrants are time stamped similar to electronic forms of payment. This is a qualifier for the national competition for the AM1 championships in 2018. The Discraft Michigan State Championships berths will be allotted up to 18 divisions of all being offered for the tournament September 1-2, with participation in each division being considered while dividing the 18. There is guaranteed a Berth for the largest women's division.
To help address the sandbagging issues at the Michigan State Championships;
a. For the Am2/Am3 (including the women) divisions in Featured Events, if there is a player that takes 1st or 2nd place and that player has never had a PDGA membership the Featured Event will deduct from that player’s payouts $35 to cover the cost of buying them a PDGA membership.
b. The remaining $10 was initially paid by the player at entry.
c. The last missing $5 is because the MDGO is an Affiliate Club.
d. Non-current PDGA members do not apply.
This was passed to address the issue of players not having player ratings. Even if they are not current, the TD does get a file from the PDGA that includes the player's rating.
Registration on site will have a $5 day of fee.
Disclaimer: The settings of this tournament may be changed to include or remove information that is missing or inaccurate. These tournaments are listed to provide you with disc golf pleasure throughout the year. Your attendance is greatly appreciated and will hopefully be rewarded. A minimum total of 3 players is needed per division. Accommodations will be made to best match a player's preference if there aren't enough participants for their division.
