Firefighters Finale 2019
About this tournament
Tournament and league awards party.
The tournament is OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS.
NO-PRE REG. JUST SHOW UP AND REGISTER THE DAY OF THE TOURNEY.
Lot's of food for all who come out. Similar to last year we will grill dogs and burgers with all of the fixin's for between rounds, Brats after the second round. Plenty of snacks, sides, and deserts to go around. There may even be a FuNaChO machine!
Any remaining money from the 'regular' league ace pool will carry into the tournament, and any money left after the tournament will carry over to next year's league (that means no playoff for the ace pool).
I expect league awards to happen around 3:00-4:00 in case you cannot make it for the tournament. This year's league awards will be based on points only. Top 3-4 in each division will win a prize. We also have prizes for Rookie of the year and Most Improved. All league prizes are restricted to members who played at least twelve weeks this year.
Show up any time to collect your league membership package. Also, this will be the last chance to collect league prizes for the year.
Doubles afterwards (time permitting). We did manage to get it in last year.
We will be playing 2 rounds of 18 holes.
About the food and prizes, as stated above, we will have plenty of food in between the rounds and some after the 2nd round.
Desserts are always welcome so start baking away.
There will be awards ceremonies for the tournament after both rounds have been played.
There will be awards for the league Champions (points) following the event awards.
An organized $5 Doubles will follow all of the awards ceremonies.
The start time for the $5 Doubles is about a half hour after the awards ceremony if not sooner.
We averaged 90 players for 24 weeks - THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ANOTHER GREAT MOTOR CITY CHAIN GANG SEASON!!!
