Festivus In The Park
About this tournament
Festivus In The Park is a C-Tier, All-Amateur, One-day singles tournament, with two rounds on the same layout, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon.
It has also been approved as a Developmental CEP under the PDGA’s Competition Endowment Program. This allows for a lower PDGA non-member/non-current registration fee of $5.00 rather than the usual $10.00. This does not apply to Junior Divisions, as they are not required to pay a non-member fee in a C-Tier event.
Registration caps will be adjusted if necessary to accommodate player interest.
Divisions - A division must have at least three registrants for it to remain active (except for Junior divisions). It may be necessary to eliminate some divisions prior to the tournament. If this occurs, entrants will moved to a different appropriate division and notified of this change.
Juniors - As per PDGA rules, any player younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their round, regardless of the division they are playing in. Here is a link to the PDGA competition manual regarding youth safety: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/113
Trophies - 1st place winners in all divisions played will receive trophies, and ALL Junior players will receive a trophy.
Players Packs - Will include a premium stamped disc from Discraft, a tournament T-Shirt, a commemorative custom pin from Disc Golf Pins, and more.
Pros playing Ams - While this will be an amateur event, professional classified players who meet the ratings requirement for a given division are allowed to compete in C-Tier events. A copy of the current “Pros playing Ams” ratings chart is available in the "documents" section.
Lunch - Will be provided for all players between rounds, including drinks.
