2024 DDNWA Tournament Standards
This document is meant to provide you with all of the information needed involving Dynamic Discs Northwest Arkansas (henceforth mentioned as DDNWA) and its tournament standards for the 2024 tournament season (January-December 2024).
This document will cover DDNWA events sanctioned as A, B, B/C, and C/B tiers and higher by the Professional Disc Golf Association. We at DDNWA want to provide the best tournament experience possible to all competitors involved. We pledge to follow all PDGA rules and regulations as well as enforce them to the best of our abilities. Creating the best possible atmosphere for fair competition is our number one priority. DDNWA Liability Waiver
Participants hereby hold blameless and fully release Dynamic Discs NWA LLC, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs, the Professional Disc Golf Association, the tournament directors, local and state park services, and all tournament partners/sponsors and individuals or parties associated with Dynamic Discs from all liability of personal damage or injury which I may incur before, during, or after my participation in this event. I accept full and sole responsibility for any damage I may cause through negligence and/or malice, including damages or injuries caused by my own throws in practice or competition. I also recognize that DDNWA, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs, event staff, the PDGA, and any other media outlets covering the event have the right and responsibility to record the event and participants via video and still photography. Such photography and/or video may be used for event publicity, public information, or any other promotional use that falls within event activities.
I. Player Eligibility
Any person may compete in a DDNWA event. If the event is PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association) sanctioned, competitors must be current PDGA members for B tiers and higher, or pay an additional $10.00 fee to become a temporary member for each C Tier event. DDNWA events that are not PDGA-sanctioned do not require any additional PDGA fees. Participants are eligible to compete in any division for which they qualify based on age, rating, gender, and class (professional or amateur). The $10.00 PDGA fee for non-members is waived for youth competitors in any Junior division for C Tier events.
II. Tournament Registration
Pre-registration is required for all DDNWA B tiers and higher. Pre-registration is recommended for all other DDNWA events. A competitor is not officially registered for the event until their entry fee has been received in full by DDNWA. All DDNWA events will be linked to DiscGolfScene.com for complete tournament registration. By pre-registering before the cutoff date listed on the registration page, players will be guaranteed to receive all benefits of the tournament. The deadline for registration will be listed on the DiscGolfScene.com registration page for each individual event.
Division caps and availability will be set when registration opens. Openings for each event will be available on a first-come, first-served basis unless stated otherwise before registration opens. Division caps are subject to change throughout the entire registration process based on supply and demand as well as availability.
All waitlists are managed by DiscGolfScene.com and DDNWA. Waitlists begin once a division(s), Pool(s), or the event(s) fills. A person on the waitlist who did not get into the event will receive a full refund minus any fees incurred by DiscGolfScene.com. DDNWA's first priority is to keep the integrity of the competition in the highest regard. The tournament director can/will make changes to the waitlist as needed to optimize the competition. Always email the tournament director ([email redacted]) for any tournament questions. Text/DM/social media messages will not be considered official and may not be received by the Tournament Director on time.
For the 2024 season, all divisions will receive payout. There will be no “trophy only” divisions for C and B tier events.
During the registration process, some events will include additional options or choices to select from. Options/choices may include, but are not limited to the following:
Optional Ace pot
Apparel Size if offered
Personalized sponsorship for the event
Onsite Meals
Optional ace pots for any event will be paid out in DIGITALLY via Paypal or Cashapp only. If no aces are hit during the event, the ace pot will roll over to the next event. If the ace is part of a DDNWA Flex Start, it will roll over to the next DDNWA Flex Start event. Check the event registration page for details on each event’s ace pot. Unless otherwise stated, there will be no throw-offs or CTPs for ace pot.
III. Withdrawals and Refunds
OFFICIAL REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY FOR 2024
If you need to cancel for any event, the request MUST be made by email to [email redacted]. Cancellations more than 7 days in advance of the event will receive a full refund minus a $10 processing and cancellation fee. Cancellations under 7 days from the tournament date will receive a 50% refund minus a $10 processing and cancellation fee. If you fail to contact us properly to cancel your spot before the start of the event, you will forfeit your entry fee for that event. No player’s packages will be given to non-competitors instead of entry fees or store credit. While this policy will be in effect for the 2024 season, it may change for specific events.
Once a player begins his/her round, there will be no refunds given for any reason. If a player has to withdraw due to injury, illness, or an emergency during their round, a score of 999 will be assessed for not finishing the event as long as the Tournament Director is notified. If a player walks off the course in the middle of their round and fails to tell the Tournament Director or any of the tournament staff, the player will receive an 888. Communication is key so DDNWA can better serve you.
IV. Event Check-In
There will be no event check-in for DDNWA events. Player pack pick-up will be available BEFORE THE ROUND STARTS at tournament central. Tournament-specific merchandise will be sold once the first round of the tournament begins. If a player does not register in time for a player package, a voucher of equal retail value will be issued to be redeemed at DDNWA. Exceptions can be made as long as the Tournament Director has been notified by email ahead of time.
Some tournaments will have pre-registration deadlines for apparel items. If players do not sign up before the stated deadline for said tournament, the player(s) may not receive the apparel item listed. Vouchers worth the retail value of the apparel item will be given as a substitute for late registrants. Apparel, trophies, and event-specific items need a two-week lead time or longer to make sure the proper stock is ordered and received on time. Deadlines are listed on each tournament registration page.
In B tiers or lower, additional player packs will be sold at retail value once the first round of the tournament has begun. Players who have failed to pick up their player back before the first round of the tournament might miss out on a full-player package. Vouchers for retail value may be given in place of items not received.
V. Grouping and Sectioning of Divisions
In all cases at C tier events or higher, the Professional and Amateur divisions will not be grouped together UNLESS it is completely unavoidable. All players will be RANDOMLY grouped within their chosen division.
Depending on the event location, course conditions, and registration numbers, Pools may change at any time to keep the integrity of the competition paramount.
Once the first round is complete, individual divisions are sorted from lowest score to highest. If two or more competitors have the same score after the first round, they will be sorted by the lowest PDGA number first. For an event with three rounds or more, players in the same division with the same total score will be grouped together in order of who shot the lowest scoring round first, then by PDGA number.
Division changes for any division will not be allowed within 24 hours of the event unless approved by the Tournament Director before the deadline.
Five-year age based divisions WILL NOT be offered at any event that is sanctioned below an A Tier. We will offer MP40, MP50, MP60, MP70, MA40, MA50, MA60, and MA70. This includes female divisions as well. Exceptions can be made if enough notice is given and there is enough demand for a full division (4 players or more).
VI. Rules of Disc Golf/Competition
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PLAYER TO KNOW THE RULES AND TOURNASMENT PROCEEDURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please refer to the Professional Disc Golf Association’s Competition Manual and the Official Rules of Disc Golf for all sanctioned events hosted by DDNWA. These rules will be enforced to the fullest extent at each sanctioned event. For the safety, fairness, and integrity of the sport, all competitors must be accountable for their actions. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

VII. Ties Broken
Ties for first place in any division will be broken with sudden-death play involving the players affected by the tie. Sudden-death play will begin on hole one unless otherwise stated by the Tournament Director once the tie is official. If a tied competitor leaves an event before sudden-death play, they forfeit the chance to compete for a first-place finish and automatically assume a second-place finish. In the event the tournament is called due to dangerous conditions, first-place ties will not be broken and all competitors currently tied for first place will be considered co-champions assuming there is no option to continue/complete play. There will be no tiebreakers for flex starts.
VIII. Distribution of Tournament Winnings
Cash winnings for Professionals will be sent out on Monday by 6PM CDT (as long as it does not fall on a holiday, federal or otherwise) following any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday event. If the following Monday is a holiday, payment will be sent on the next business day. This will be handled via PayPal ONLY. Recipients must provide a PayPal account to receive their winnings. Any payout not claimed within 6 months for any reason, will be relinquished by the player.
Merchandise winnings of any sort shall be before the end of the calendar year. Any winnings not redeemed within the calendar year will be relinquished by the player. If DDNWA offers a payout onsite during the event, players may use the onsite payout. If a competitor wishes to use payout in-store, it will expire.
Payout Percentage - Pro payout percentage will be 40% of the field based on PDGA minimum standards. Amateur Payout percentage will be 45% of the field based on PDGA minimum standards. This template will be reflected at all sanctioned events.
IX. Tournament Outline for all DDNWA Sanctioned Events.
Player Pack Pikc Up- Player pack pick-up begins an hour and a half before the player's first round is scheduled to begin.
Player Packs- Player packs may be tournament-specific items or a voucher to DDNWA. These vouchers will expire at the end of the calendar year as well.
Player Meeting/informative email - There will be no official player meetings in 2024.
All player meetings will be sent out the day before the expected round. EVERY PLAYER IS EXPECTED TO READ THIS EMAIL BEFORE THE ROUNDS BEGIN!!!
Addition emails may be sent out for the event and any last-minute changes so check your email often.
Round one tee time and starting holes are always announced ahead of time via the PDGA event page.
Lunch - In a shotgun start format, lunch is a 1 ½ hour break (unless otherwise specified) from the time the LAST card of the first round comes in.
Second-round start times will be announced on the PDGA event page as well as second-round starting holes.
Payout - AM payout will be sent out via a google doc. Merchandise payout will be available promptly after awards. If AM payout is not picked up that day, it will go on your store credit sheet on the following Monday.
Cash payout will be sent via PayPal the following Monday (as long as it does not fall on a holiday) before the end of the business day 6:00 PM-CDT. Please see section

New breakdown of tournament costs for 2024
The following info pertains to Amateur and Pro Entry fees for B and C tiers
$2 per C Tier or $3 per B Tier be taken out for PDGA fees.
$3 per player will go towards green fees. Green fees include the cost of TD fees, permits, additional insurance documentation, and costs associated with running events (restrooms, etc.) according to the local municipal stipulations/rentals on public properties and necessities for the safety and security of the players. Although these fees are set for the 2024 calendar year, they are subject to change for specific events.
$10 per AM player will go towards the cost of the player pack items.
A tier tournament costs will be published on a case-to-case basis.
X. DDNWA COVID Policies and Waiver
For events to take place and proceed in the safest manner possible, participants need to consider and follow these safety measures:
Social distancing of at least 6 feet apart from others is encouraged.
Do not touch anyone or anyone else's property (discs included).
Do not crowd the tournament staff at any point.
We ask anyone who shows any symptoms associated with COVID-19 or other sickness not to participate or attend any event. This is for your safety, the safety of volunteers, the DDNWA staff, and everyone else involved.
As a tournament player, it is your responsibility to know the rules of disc golf and the layout of the course you play before competing in a sanctioned event. Please be responsible and know the formats/layouts and daily schedule before arriving at the event.
Water Stations on Courses:
Water on the courses is for you, the player.
Our suggestion is to designate one person on your card to dispense water for everyone after following the protocol above.
As tournament/competitive/recreational players it is our responsibility to adhere to park rules, COVID-19 standards and precautions, and to the welfare of others. Please keep sidewalks and paths clear of bags/carts. Pedestrians always have the right of way. Even though these events are official at times we may not have exclusive use of the courses. These are public parks. We DO NOT kick people out or tell them they cannot play the course. We DO tell them what is going on and give them all of the information needed to make sure there is little or no issue. In most cases, these situations tend to work themselves out. As tournament players, I feel we must be positive and informative towards others regardless of being a part of a paid tournament. All in all, we should be respectful and kind to everyone we come in contact with.
Event Participant COVID-19 Waiver
Participants understand that participation in this event carries with it risk of injury or death and I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns expressly release, forever discharge, and hold harmless any 2024 event hosted by DDNWA LLC, Matt Loyd, and its staff, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs, all municipalities and organizations about the event including their officers, agents, and employees, and the Professional Disc Golf Association from all personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death in connection with my participation in this event.
Further, I understand and acknowledge that I am participating in this event at my own risk, that any safety precautions designed to protect against the spread of COVID-19 undertaken by the Releasees do not guarantee I will not contract COVID-19, and that, the foregoing notwithstanding, it is my specific intent to affirm my foregoing release of the Releases concerning any personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death I may experience from COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event.
XI. PDGA Scoring and Digital Scorecard for 2024
All players will now be required to keep score for the whole group. This ensures an even distribution of scoring duties and maximizes scoring integrity. It also limits scoring penalties to the player who submitted the incorrect scorecard.
Each player must keep an independent scorecard recording scores after each hole for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep a score WILL be subject to disqualification.
Players may delegate scorekeeping duties only to their designated caddie.
Each player records the score for every player in the group in a manner that makes each score clear to every player in the group. Any warnings or penalty throws are to be noted along with the score for the hole. All players are responsible for reconciling and submitting their copy of the scorecard within 30 minutes of when their group finishes their round. A player who has not submitted their scorecard on time receives two penalty throws.
If a player submits any scorecard where their total score or hole scores are incorrect, improperly recorded, or missing, two penalty throws are added to the correct total score. Those penalty throws are not added when the score has been adjusted for other violations determined after the player has submitted an otherwise correct scorecard.
A player is not penalized if another member of their group submits an incorrect scorecard.
We will not use physical paper scorecards as the official scoring outlet for PDGA events unless cellular service is not strong enough. Physical scorecards will be utilized as a backup. As of 2024, all players in each group must keep their own score and the scores of anyone in their group according to PDGA rules. Signing In
Go to PDGA.com/score
Enter the access code provided by the event staff
Type your name or PDGA number and select your name from the list
Starting a new round
Press the KEEP SCORE button
If necessary, select your starting hole and add players to your scorecard
Specify optional settings
Press the BEGIN PLAY button
Keeping the score
Enter the score for each player on the scorecard
Press the SAVE and CONTINUE button
Resolving conflicts
A notification will appear if another scorekeeper records a different score
A warning icon will be shown in the CARD tab
Navigate the affected hole(s) and make corrections as needed
Completing the round
Record scores for all holes
Press the FINISH ROUND button
Verify each player has the correct score and check the box
Press the SUBMIT SCORECARD button
Paper scorecards will be available anytime at Tournament Central for people to pick up as a backup scorecard for easier group verification. Players are encouraged to keep as many backups as they need to make the scoring process easier to avoid miscalculations resulting in penalty strokes.
A Course Rule Sheet will also be provided at each event. This will be in the form of a digital copy on live scoring as well as a copy sent in the player meeting/instruction email.

VII. Ties Broken
Ties for first place in any division will be broken with sudden-death play involving the players affected by the tie. Sudden-death play will begin on hole one unless otherwise stated by the Tournament Director once the tie is official. If a tied competitor leaves an event before sudden-death play, they forfeit the chance to compete for a first-place finish and automatically assume a second-place finish. In the event the tournament is called due to dangerous conditions, first-place ties will not be broken and all competitors currently tied for first place will be considered co-champions assuming there is no option to continue/complete play. There will be no tiebreakers for flex starts.
VIII. Distribution of Tournament Winnings
Cash winnings for Professionals will be sent out on Monday by 6PM CDT (as long as it does not fall on a holiday, federal or otherwise) following any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday event. If the following Monday is a holiday, payment will be sent on the next business day. This will be handled via PayPal ONLY. Recipients must provide a PayPal account to receive their winnings. Any payout not claimed within 6 months for any reason, will be relinquished by the player.
Merchandise winnings of any sort shall be before the end of the calendar year. Any winnings not redeemed within the calendar year will be relinquished by the player. If DDNWA offers a payout onsite during the event, players may use the onsite payout. If a competitor wishes to use payout in-store, it will expire.
Payout Percentage - Pro payout percentage will be 40% of the field based on PDGA minimum standards. Amateur Payout percentage will be 45% of the field based on PDGA minimum standards. This template will be reflected at all sanctioned events.
IX. Tournament Outline for all DDNWA Sanctioned Events.
Player Pack Pikc Up- Player pack pick-up begins an hour and a half before the player's first round is scheduled to begin.
Player Packs- Player packs may be tournament-specific items or a voucher to DDNWA. These vouchers will expire at the end of the calendar year as well.
Player Meeting/informative email - There will be no official player meetings in 2024.
All player meetings will be sent out the day before the expected round. EVERY PLAYER IS EXPECTED TO READ THIS EMAIL BEFORE THE ROUNDS BEGIN!!!
Addition emails may be sent out for the event and any last-minute changes so check your email often.
Round one tee time and starting holes are always announced ahead of time via the PDGA event page.
Lunch - In a shotgun start format, lunch is a 1 ½ hour break (unless otherwise specified) from the time the LAST card of the first round comes in.
Second-round start times will be announced on the PDGA event page as well as second-round starting holes.
Payout - AM payout will be sent out via a google doc. Merchandise payout will be available promptly after awards. If AM payout is not picked up that day, it will go on your store credit sheet on the following Monday.
Cash payout will be sent via PayPal the following Monday (as long as it does not fall on a holiday) before the end of the business day 6:00 PM-CDT. Please see section

New breakdown of tournament costs for 2024
The following info pertains to Amateur and Pro Entry fees for B and C tiers
$2 per C Tier or $3 per B Tier be taken out for PDGA fees.
$3 per player will go towards green fees. Green fees include the cost of TD fees, permits, additional insurance documentation, and costs associated with running events (restrooms, etc.) according to the local municipal stipulations/rentals on public properties and necessities for the safety and security of the players. Although these fees are set for the 2024 calendar year, they are subject to change for specific events.
$10 per AM player will go towards the cost of the player pack items.
A tier tournament costs will be published on a case-to-case basis.
X. DDNWA COVID Policies and Waiver
For events to take place and proceed in the safest manner possible, participants need to consider and follow these safety measures:
Social distancing of at least 6 feet apart from others is encouraged.
Do not touch anyone or anyone else's property (discs included).
Do not crowd the tournament staff at any point.
We ask anyone who shows any symptoms associated with COVID-19 or other sickness not to participate or attend any event. This is for your safety, the safety of volunteers, the DDNWA staff, and everyone else involved.
As a tournament player, it is your responsibility to know the rules of disc golf and the layout of the course you play before competing in a sanctioned event. Please be responsible and know the formats/layouts and daily schedule before arriving at the event.
Water Stations on Courses:
Water on the courses is for you, the player.
Our suggestion is to designate one person on your card to dispense water for everyone after following the protocol above.
As tournament/competitive/recreational players it is our responsibility to adhere to park rules, COVID-19 standards and precautions, and to the welfare of others. Please keep sidewalks and paths clear of bags/carts. Pedestrians always have the right of way. Even though these events are official at times we may not have exclusive use of the courses. These are public parks. We DO NOT kick people out or tell them they cannot play the course. We DO tell them what is going on and give them all of the information needed to make sure there is little or no issue. In most cases, these situations tend to work themselves out. As tournament players, I feel we must be positive and informative towards others regardless of being a part of a paid tournament. All in all, we should be respectful and kind to everyone we come in contact with.
Event Participant COVID-19 Waiver
Participants understand that participation in this event carries with it risk of injury or death and I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns expressly release, forever discharge, and hold harmless any 2024 event hosted by DDNWA LLC, Matt Loyd, and its staff, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs, all municipalities and organizations about the event including their officers, agents, and employees, and the Professional Disc Golf Association from all personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death in connection with my participation in this event.
Further, I understand and acknowledge that I am participating in this event at my own risk, that any safety precautions designed to protect against the spread of COVID-19 undertaken by the Releasees do not guarantee I will not contract COVID-19, and that, the foregoing notwithstanding, it is my specific intent to affirm my foregoing release of the Releases concerning any personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death I may experience from COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event.
XI. PDGA Scoring and Digital Scorecard for 2024
All players will now be required to keep score for the whole group. This ensures an even distribution of scoring duties and maximizes scoring integrity. It also limits scoring penalties to the player who submitted the incorrect scorecard.
Each player must keep an independent scorecard recording scores after each hole for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep a score WILL be subject to disqualification.
Players may delegate scorekeeping duties only to their designated caddie.
Each player records the score for every player in the group in a manner that makes each score clear to every player in the group. Any warnings or penalty throws are to be noted along with the score for the hole. All players are responsible for reconciling and submitting their copy of the scorecard within 30 minutes of when their group finishes their round. A player who has not submitted their scorecard on time receives two penalty throws.
If a player submits any scorecard where their total score or hole scores are incorrect, improperly recorded, or missing, two penalty throws are added to the correct total score. Those penalty throws are not added when the score has been adjusted for other violations determined after the player has submitted an otherwise correct scorecard.
A player is not penalized if another member of their group submits an incorrect scorecard.
We will not use physical paper scorecards as the official scoring outlet for PDGA events unless cellular service is not strong enough. Physical scorecards will be utilized as a backup. As of 2024, all players in each group must keep their own score and the scores of anyone in their group according to PDGA rules. To start your round with digital scoring you will need to go to the following link: www.pdga.com/score. You may also download the PDGA LIVE app to your phone.
Below you will find easy steps to complete the PDGA Live scoring process:
Signing In
Go to PDGA.com/score
Enter the access code provided by the event staff
Type your name or PDGA number and select your name from the list
Starting a new round
Press the KEEP SCORE button
If necessary, select your starting hole and add players to your scorecard
Specify optional settings
Press the BEGIN PLAY button
Keeping the score
Enter the score for each player on the scorecard
Press the SAVE and CONTINUE button
Resolving conflicts
A notification will appear if another scorekeeper records a different score
A warning icon will be shown in the CARD tab
Navigate the affected hole(s) and make corrections as needed
Completing the round
Record scores for all holes
Press the FINISH ROUND button
Verify each player has the correct score and check the box
Press the SUBMIT SCORECARD button
Paper scorecards will be available anytime at Tournament Central for people to pick up as a backup scorecard for easier group verification. Players are encouraged to keep as many backups as they need to make the scoring process easier to avoid miscalculations resulting in penalty strokes.
A Course Rule Sheet will also be provided at each event. This will be in the form of a digital copy on live scoring as well as a copy sent in the player meeting/instruction email.
Refund policy

*If you need to cancel any event, the request MUST be made by email to [email redacted] or via discgolfscene.com. Text/Facebook/Phone calls are not a way to request a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once a player begins his/her round, there will be no refunds given for any reason. If a player has to withdraw due to injury, illness, or an emergency during their round, a score of 999 will be assessed for not finishing the event as long as the Tournament Director is notified. If a player walks off the course in the middle of their round and fails to tell the Tournament Director or any of the tournament staff, the player will receive an 888. Communication is key so DDNWA can better serve you. less
