This is a free event that was originally started by Trevor Trizano. Him and Jwoo have moved away and now we are obligated to hate them because we miss them. :)
We will have a disc swap that follows classic White Elephant gift exchange rules, play a round of golf, and then have some lunch. We will be providing chili and cornbread. Winner of the round will get disc dyed by me!
Here is what everyone needs to bring:
1. An individually wrapped putter, midrange, and driver. 2 of the discs need to be new or lightly used condition (not beat up to the point it is unthrowable) and at least a midgrade plastic or better, think Innova Pro plastic or better. The other disc can be (but doesn’t have to be) a beat up disc and any plastic type. When wrapping the disc please mark what the disc is (putter, midrange, driver) and make it easy to unwrap so it doesn’t create a big mess for us to clean up.
2. A snack to share for lunch. Doesn’t need to be anything big.
3. Anything you want to drink or drinks you want to share with friends.
Here are the rules for the disc swap:
1. Everyone draws a number
2. Everyone creates a circle around the discs in the order of the number they drew. If there are too many people we will separate into 2 groups.
3. First player picks a disc from the pile and opens it. Their turn is done.
4. Second player either picks a disc and opens it or steals the disc from player 1. If player 2 picks a disc from the pile their turn is done. If they steal from player 1, their turn is done and player 1 draws from the pile and opens it.
5. Third player follows the same steps as player 2. If a disc is stolen, the player without a disc can steal from any player other than the player that stole from them.
6. This continues until the last disc is picked from the pile.
7. After the last disc is picked from the pile, player one gets an opportunity to swap with any player that has a disc in play.
8. A disc can only be stolen 3 times. On the third time a disc is stolen it is out of play and it stays with that player.
9. This will happen with each disc type so there will be 3 rounds of exchanges.
10. To speed things up you have 10 seconds to decide what you are going to do on your turn. If you don’t decide in 10 seconds. You get a disc from the pile. less
