How many were you thinking to split this?

ROBERT WATSON   May 15, 2023 at 9:24pm

Why so many days?

If someone needs a partner to play MA 40 doubles let me know.

Is there a waitlist or any possibility of adding another course and/or more spots?

Robert Leonard   May 1, 2023 at 2:11pm

We will not be able to add a new course or more spots for this event.

Tom Boyd    April 13, 2023 at 3:33pm

What criteria was used to move me from #7 on the waitlist to #8? MA65. Thanks

Todd Lion   April 13, 2023 at 4:48pm

There were 2 players marked as #7 on the waitlist. Sorting the two was based on original registration timestamp. (Both of you were within a fraction of a second of each other.)

Tom Boyd   April 13, 2023 at 7:53pm

holy crap! Thanks Todd

Robin Cannistraci    April 13, 2023 at 1:47pm

Can I sign up for FA 50 and waitlist fa 55? I am #1 waitlist for fa 55 currently

Andrew Sweeton   April 13, 2023 at 2:00pm

You can register for FA50 if you were invited for it. If not, you would need to wait until the 4/19 reg tier.

Steve Lambert    April 13, 2023 at 1:44pm

T-3 on the wait list? Never finished tied on the wait list before. Is there tie breaker criteria?

Todd Lion   April 13, 2023 at 4:50pm

Hi Steve, I re-sorted the waitlist to break the two "tied" WL positions. The re-sort was based on original registration timestamp. You were within a fraction of a fraction of a second of the other #3 player.

Tony Dalton    April 13, 2023 at 12:54pm

I know it is hard being a TD for events and I support all you do. This is not a statement about you, but just the process. I noticed there are several people on the the waitlist with lots of points and higher ratings. Higher rated players put in the work with extra putting and practice to compete at a high level. I believe Major events should be the best of the best. Not saying I am one of the best, just thinking of everyone else. I did notice several people that made the 2 minute sign in cut, a ... more

Andrew Montgomery   April 13, 2023 at 10:58pm

FYI: not all lower rated players suck. My family is military and we move a lot. I play blind exclusively. I finish tournaments Even or under par sometimes and its the worst rated round because I can’t compete with locals that play that course every day for years. I played 42 tournaments blind ... more

There is no perfect system and I don't agree with the original post. I will follow whatever the PDGA mandates. However, the moment I don't have a chance at getting into a Worlds event is the moment I stop playing PDGA sanctioned events all together. Having a decent amount of space for a ... more

Not sure he knows, but Nathan Deledda, MA40, registered twice, was super anxious I get it! Lol

I didn’t think my first attempt went through! I put in a withdrawal for one of myselves.

Michael Moore   April 13, 2023 at 8:18pm

Once they remove your second entry I get in! LETS GOOO lol

James LeBaube   April 13, 2023 at 8:53pm

way to cause trouble Nathan... ;)

Joe Rutkowski    April 13, 2023 at 9:03am

500 spots is clearly not enough for the WORLD championships when you're maxed out with over a hundred on the wait-list within a few hours.

Roger, there's a tournament in Morton/Peoria every year that seems to accommodate the field sizes I'm referring to and it's an A Tier. Every year Ledgestone continues to grow and improve and is now a bigger event than Worlds...it seems the crew that hosts that event doesn't have any difficulty growing their field size.

Roger Vranak   April 13, 2023 at 10:36pm

Ok Joe but how many events have paid staff and such ? But more so one example of an event is a poor comparison why not use one of the thousands that don’t have a paid staff ?

Will Plein   April 15, 2023 at 11:33am

Total agree the the Ledgestone model should be used to plan for Worlds. Starting in jan for a July tornement is the first thing.

ERic J    April 13, 2023 at 5:28am

Why no mini golf at the field events this year? It has seemed to be a popular attraction in the past.

We wanted to focus on disc golf attributes.

Deona Werth    April 13, 2023 at 5:01am

I wanted to signup for women's doubles when I registered at 7:30pm it was already full.

I filled out everything and was ready to go the second my invite status listed, but the registration never turned green. I kept refreshing, tried other computers, and it wouldn’t unstick. Finally 25 minutes later it let me register. I’m 23 on the waitlist. I worked my ass off to get this invite - playing Am 50 means tournaments with only 4 or 8 spots so no points and you have to play a ton. I did everything right only to be denied by the website. Does anybody know if this can be fixed? I assume I’m just screwed.

Rob Martin   April 13, 2023 at 4:01am

A few things - 400+ people were able to register. It's possible that the issue was on your end. Either an old computer, poor internet connection, something. Second, you don't need points in your division to get an invite. You only need Amateur points. I'm registered for MA50, but only 24 of my 588 points were actually in MA50 for 2022.

Don Krueger   April 13, 2023 at 1:06pm

I didn't have any pc issues, just slower internet I guess. I was entered in the first half of the first minute and got 15th on the waiting list.

Jason "Bobo" Noble   April 17, 2023 at 4:56pm

Yeah I had to play over 10 tournaments in either MA1 or MA2 to get enough points to qualify for this year.

my mistake, I guess. can I go on the waitlist for MA75 and keep my spot in MA70? or will I have to give my current spot in MA70

Andrew Sweeton   April 13, 2023 at 12:36pm

Since you were invited to both, you can hedge your bet and go ahead and register for MA75 on the waitlist. If you end up getting into MA75, then withdraw from MA70.

Jack Braden   April 13, 2023 at 5:26pm

THANKS

ELIJAH SMITH    April 13, 2023 at 2:44am

Hate to complain, but I am going to anyway. During registration DGscene told me I needed to be PDGA current ( I am thru end of year) and be PDGA official. I became an official this past Sunday and paid the $10. After verifying the receipt I came back and it let me finish registration. Now I'm on the waitlist and pretty angry!

That's better than me. The button after you click the covid box NEVER showed up so I'm sitting here with my thumb up my ass not able to register. Tried 3 different web browsers and my phone.

Greg Brooks    April 13, 2023 at 2:42am

I signed up twice in MA65 and need to delete one. What is the best way to go about that?

Allen Risley   April 13, 2023 at 2:43am

Request a refund from one of the spots. If one is a waitlist spot, choose that one. If both are waitlist spots choose the higher number.

Todd Lion   April 13, 2023 at 2:46am

use the Withdraw link in your confirmation email and make a note that this was a duplicate entry

Michael Schwartz   April 14, 2023 at 1:12am

Greg, Have you withdrawn from one of your registrations yet? I'm #1` on the waitlist, thanks.

Daryl Huschka    April 13, 2023 at 2:36am

10th on the wait list what do you think the chances are of even being able to play?
