2020 Hawk's Landing Match Play Championships Presented by Tribal Flyers

Match Play: 9-Hole Matches. The player who wins the most holes wins the match.


Two Divisions: Open & Amateur, 16 players in each division.
3 rounds of round-robin play, followed by single-elimination bracket play for the championship.
A consolation bracket will determine placement for 3rd - 16th place.
All players are guaranteed a minimum of 5 matches (45 holes) before possible elimination. Most players will play 6-7 matches, with a maximum possible of 9 matches.

Both divisions will have a blind draw before the player meeting to determine pool play assignments. 
Players will be randomly assigned to one of four pools of four players for 3 matches of round-robin match play in their pool. There will be a one hour lunch break after pool play concludes while the bracket play seedings and schedules are determined.


Women entrants receive a tee advantage.
Open - Blue Tees (Women - White)
Amateur - Blue Tees (Women - White)

Amateurs will each receive a $10 voucher for the Tribal Flyers Pro Shop, with the remainder of entry fee going to payout.
100% payout for all divisions. Payout 1st - 6th place.
Amateur payout via Tribal Flyers Pro Shop Vouchers.

Pool Play (Round Robin):
Players will play a 9-hole match against each player in their pool (3 matches).
Pool play results will be used to seed the players into the championship bracket.
During pool play all nine holes will be played in each match regardless of the match's status. Ties allowed - no sudden-death playoffs during pool play.

Seeding Tiebreakers: 1) Head-to-Head 2) Most holes won 3) Fewest holes lost 4) Disc flip

Bracket Play (Single Elimination):
Players will be seeded into the bracket according to their placement in pool play.
After players lose a match in the Championship Bracket, they are eliminated from the championship, and they are relegated to the Consolation Bracket to play for 3rd - 16th place.
After players lose a match in the Consolation Bracket they are eliminated from the tournament unless they qualify for the 5th place match.
No ties in bracket play. If tied after 9 holes, continue in sudden-death playoff.
In bracket play the match is over once one player leads by more holes than remain.
