Introducing the 2018 Nova Team Match Play Championships

A NOVA DGA event
Team match play combines battling heads up with like skilled competitors with the fun of teaming up with your friends to do battle! There will be eight 9-person teams who will do battle on October the 6th at Giles Run Disc Golf Course. The teams will be comprised of Nova club members: 3 Open spots, 5 Amateur spots, and a lady spot. Entry fee for the event is $225 ($25/player) and includes lunch. We will have round robin match play in the morning and elimination matches after lunch. Division winners, semis and finals winners as well as the winner of the losers bracket will all win $$$.
We are looking for volunteers who would like to captain a team for this inaugural event. A captain will be in charge of assembling their squad under guidelines that will be given. Captains will also be in charge of submitting the entry fee, team name and roster one week prior to the event. You do not have to be a pro to be a captain of a team. Anybody can be a captain. Please e-mail [email redacted] if you would like to nominate yourself for captaincy by August 16th. 8 captains will be selected at random from the nominations. After that, the captains will be given the guidelines for creating their teams.
We are also looking for volunteers to help out and sponsors to help increase the payouts/awards. If anyone wants to handle the lunch situation we have a lunch budget and grills available at the course. We could also use spotters as well. Please let me know if you would like to help out in any way.
