Hey how are you? I have been working until 5-6 and haven't been able to come to league. I am going out of town this weekend and have my daughters next. The following weekend if you would like to shoot at Riley it would be awesome. It is a fun course

Thanks Rick, sure thing about the course map.

Still working out the details of how the averages are calculated. Right now it's the most recent 100 scores and it's calculated up to the first of each month. So month to month the average can change, but scores shot during a particular month will be compared to the averages for that month, not necessarily the most recent scores.

That sounds like a good plan if you have to choose between t-signs & tee pads.

In my opinion, tee signs will attract more new players than tee pads, then even non-players can see that concrete pads are needed (because of the wear on the grass). Then it's easier to convince (non-playing) facility managers that they need to provide us with the concrete for tee pads.

At least it's looking like that premise is going to play out for us at Fairmont Park.

We just didn't have the time or energy after moving all 18 baskets to mark the tee pass with something better than the orange flags that are currently there. Tom will be cutting up some PVC pipe to use as high visibility stakes until we get teepads (well in the future). Josh will be making signs in the near future though.

That'd be great if you could! We'll take as much help as we can get.

Rick,
I have two scores posted for Sunday's league play...a 54 round and a 55 round. The 55 round is the correct score.

Very patriotic, Rick!

No, Rick. That is based off the par 59 for the course.

Its an object course for now while I research fund raising options and try to garner some interest among the locals, its mostly so I can play somewhere other than my back yard. I used to play at least 5 times a week, I haven't thrown on an actual course since Sept.

Great! I'm glad you're finding good use for it. It's been a nice utility mid for me. I'm looking into getting a sub to work for me on Saturday, so I'll find out tomorrow if I can make it to the Abilene tourney.

They did have an ace fund, it was something in the neighborhood of $300, but sadly I wasn't eligible...Almost had one though, put my Buzzz straight through the center of one tonight, spit out the other side :-(.

Had a great time, just not great rounds. I will have to get more time in manhattan and play. I will hit you up when I do.

That looks good on the map and makes sense. Mark messaged me similar directions, i dont think it will be too hard to find.

Thanks Rick, it sounds like tomorrow will be fun as long as its not too rainy. Is the course hard to find?

I'll definitely be wearing the DFOK shirt tomorrow. I'm looking forward to Big Shunga, if I can figure out how to get there anyway.

No, I sure didn't. It's a maroon-colored Champion Destroyer (it has my buddy's name on the underside; Josh Toevs). Thanks again for a great season and I look forward to jumping back into the action in August.

Rick, to find moon lake, google "mullins park, fort riley ks"; moon lake is just to the North, Northwest; google maps calls it "camp moon lake". It's not much further than going to the Riley Conference Center, but can be hard to find if you don't know where to look. The main road cuts between McCormick Park Playground and the Softball fields.
