I stopped by Dupree Park after playing in the Avian Ace Line Challenge Powered by Prodigy at North Landing....I have played Dupree before but about a year or so ago. On #6 I had a good drive and a makeable putt but I hit the bogey band and rolled down the cliff... I did not complete the hole....On #15 I opted to not throw across the water and possible lose my new Ace Line disc cause my In Zone retriever broke at North Landing. I am signed up for the MVP tournament at Dupree Park in a couple of weeks.

Doubles round Tournament September Shootout
These are bogus scores - just placeholder scores! I played 2 rounds of best shot dubs at the September Shootout! My original partner had to pull out with heel spurs so I had to search of another partner... Dru answered my call - his partner had back trouble! I hope both of them get well soon! We won the first round with a 48 and lost the 2nd with a 49! I did not play well and Dru carried the card! Dru did win a CTP so did Rob on of our opponents on the 2nd card! Dru took #1 and Rob #12! I'm so happy for both of them! There was 1 ace on #14 but the young man didn't buy into the ACE pot so there was an Ace throwoff but noone hit the ACE. There was a CTA - Closest to the ACE payout! Note I did make it over the water on #15 both rounds, I threw into the water on #1 the first round and I went 50/50 on the double mando….I missed it the first round and made it the second! I also missed a 4 foot putt on #4.... As I said I did not play well. OH well I did enjoy the Shootout! Thanks Dru!

These scores are bogus just a place holder! I played the Meeks Park Prodigy Par 2 tournament....the holes were all shorten for both rounds! Also had to use the Prodigy Par 2 disc. My first round was terrible - I could not hit like 6 or 7 putts! Had one 2 and two 4's. The second round was much better had 6 or 7 par 2's and only one 4! It was the first time I had ever been to or played Meeks Park! It is a very nice course with lots of elevation up and down plus lots of trees to hit! I'd like o go back soon and play the longs and shorts!

Round started off good.... then not so good! I had a pretty good drive on #1 and ran the upshot past the basket long and missed the comeback long - a 2 turns into a 5! On #2 I was told to keep it right so I threw my Archangel which is a right turning disc but I didn't clear the low ceiling tree branch and of course it went hard left into the creek LOST for a penalty stroke! Remind myself NEVER play a BLIND round again on a Pro level course like Dundee!

On #3 I missed the putt! On #8 my second shot got across the road but landed in the ditch surrounded by water OB! On #9 the basket was in the longer position on the other side of the frog pond. On #11 the island hole my drive hit the rocks and bounced backward out - my shot from the drop zone was in. #15 had a mando and the basket was in the long position. I improved my score by 3 strokes from round 1. I was surprised when at the awards ceremony my name was called for 2nd place and I received a medal! I now see I actually came from behind to tie for 2nd place!

Started on #17, on #18 which was in a new temporary elevated quadpod longer position which brought the field OB into play on the right - I missed a very short putt (ie tap in) that may have set the tone for this round! #1 was also in a new temporary elevated quadpod longer position in the woods! I birdied #4! On #9 the basket was in the shorter position on the right into the woods - first time I'd played it. On #11 the island hole my drive was long enough but I pulled it right - my shot from the drop zone skipped onto the island safe.#15 had a mando and the basket was in the long position.

On #3 I had a bad upshot, on #5 I missed the putt, on #7 I made the gap with my upshot but went a little long and missed the putt, on #13 my upshot rollaway like 60 feet but I had a very good comeback upshot,my drive went ob on #16 and on #2 I had a good anhyzer drive to the landing zone but threw my upshot long and missed the putt and it rolled into the creek!

Chamblee Church, Long tees, twice through, 18 holes
Tournament Juniors & Amateurs
Played 18 holes at Chamblee Church Juniors and Amateers event in rainy conditions - started late, played 10 holes then took a lunch break then played 8 more...It was my first was time playing in the rain - I learned that raincoats can be like sauna suits and the big umbrella gets in the way its much better to just wear the poncho and use the smaller umbrella. Due to rainy conditions it was very hard to keep disc dry, all my towels got soaked, I also hurried most of my shots to try to keep myself and everyone else dry.

East Roswell Park, Blue tees (long), 18 holes
1st time playing this course blind - played the blue tees (long) ! On number #1 I pulled the drive short right and off the fairway. On #3 I missed the putt for a 4! On #5 I hit the basket on my 2nd shot for the birdie. On #6 my 3rd shot hit a tree and rolled away I made the comeback putt, On #11 I made the mando and on #12 I made the island! On #13 I made the birdie putt from about 15 feet! I let #16 get the best of me as I just threw blindly I finished on #18 with a good drive, upshot and putt for 3! I particularly liked holes #2,3,4,5,6,11,12,13,14! I also played the first 9 holes from the red tees (short)! Here are my scores - 4, 3, 3, 3, 2,5,4,4,4 I missed a birdie putt on #4, I made a birdie on #5! I would of liked to have finish the back 9 but my wife was there to pick me up! No where on here to put in just the front 9 scores - so I put them here!

On #3 I had a horrible drive of the tee - pulled it way right close to #2 tee, also had a bad upshot on #3! On #6 I missed the mando! On #10 I hit the light pole off the tee and then threw my 2nd, 3rd and 4th shots into a tree ended up with a 6! On #11 I had another bad teeshot - hitting a tree to the left but scrambled out with a sidearm and almost ran it on my third shot! I hit the thin line off the tee on #12 with my mamba and landed across the creek again almost threw it in on my upshot. We played the short on #13. On #13 I missed the putt for a 3 low! On #15 I missed the putt for a 3 left! On #16 I missed the putt for a 3 left... all 3 of those missed putts hit metal or chains! On #17 I missed a putt for a 3 - putt did not hit any thing! On #18 my 2nd shot landed in the middle of the road ob! Played the round with Buddy D and Rusty G!

Chattahoochee Pointe Park, 10 year / Blue tee's, 18 holes
This was the grande opening tournament at Chattahoochee Pointe Park disc golf course in Forsyth County, Suwanee, Georgia! I play another course in Suwanee so decided to sign up and play this one too! The course designer had posted that the course was built on a flood plan along the Chattahoochee River. There was a couple of holes where you could see the river and the river is out of bounds! He also posted that it had rained hard the day before and the course was soaked & soggy in places and to wear water proof shoes to play in - in fact I wore my mucking boots for the first half of round 1 until my toes got sore! It was the first time I had ever played in them and the first time I had worn them in a long time! The course had both open and wooded holes. It was cold and windy sometimes gusting. The course has dogleg right, dogleg left and straight holes too. It had a few small ditches with casual water to stay away from. It also had a walking path / road that played out of bounds and a fence too. I do not recall seeing any mando's or elevated baskets although there were a couple of baskets on ridges that could create a death putt or rollaway. The course had a couple of ILLUsions - for example - from the tee it appeared there was a bunch of trees down the fairway but when you got there it was only a line of trees. The course had 6 holes more than 400 feet in length, #2-600, #4-970, #10-410, #12-620, #13-405 and #18-675 of the remaining holes only 2 were less than 300 feet #5-270 and #14-270! And it is my understanding this is in the short positions. This course reminded me a lot of J. P. Moseley in Stockbridge, Ga which I affectionately call the "MONSTER"! Hole #1 is a good starting hole and # 18 is a good finishing hole... There was also a pretty tunnel hole - I think it was #5 and there was another hole with a tree forming a natural ARCH - both were quite pleasing to the eye. There was another hole where from the tee you had to throw over a ridge or burm I don't recall if the basket was blind or not! I play in the MA60 division for 2 years now and I have a noodle arm so this course ate me up and spit me out! The big arms and CRUSHERS will love this course! I'd rank it a CHAMPIONS course!”

Claystone Park, The Stone, Regular tees, 18 holes
Tournament The Sailing Open
Camped out at Claystone campground site 24 - a couple days early for the Sailing Open tournament! I had 2 previous practice rounds where I played it safe - didn't throw once into the lake nor have any roll away putts or OB's! This was The Sailing Open round - there was no 22 hole course layout for me to choose so I put it in as a 18 hole round and provide the additional holes here! There was a total of 22 holes - 1-18, hole 11 was an island hole and as you can see I missed it and had to go to the drop zone - and then on #17 I had a putt for a 3 that hit the metal and rolled down 40 feet - 10A - 4, 10b - 3, 10c - (4) threw OB onto the road, 19 - 4 was from one of the docks over the lake. So for 22 holes my score was 85! The baskets where in the middle position. This tournament round was my worst round! Oh I hope to play again next year - its for a great cause!

Mathews Park, Regular tees, 18 holes
I played the Starter Pack challenge benefiting Camp Sunshine! Every one had to play with an Innova starter set! An Aviar putter, Shark mid and Leopard driver! It was a disc and fund raiser tournament! I did not keep individual hole scores. My card started on #16. I took a penalty on #17 when my disc landed on the road. I did make the double mando on #6. I landed in the water on #15 for a penalty! I finished 3rd on my card. The 2nd round was best shot doubles and my team won by 2 or 3 strokes. This time I made it across the road on #17 and I made it across the lake on #15! I was very happy with my upshots and putting - not so much my drives! I made 2 long putts - 1 from 27.5 feet (I stepped it off) and another from about that distance (I did not step it off) . I am a fair weather and seasonal player this was my 1st single tournament of the year! Welcome to the 2019 season.

This was my first Discraft ACE race and first time to Chamblee Church! The normal 9 hole course was still 9 holes but the tees were flagged shorter to make every hole a ACE run. I played the 9 hole course 4 times. You scored an A if you got an ACE and an M if you hit medal. I did not score an A or an M. My card did have 1 ACE by Brain Gort and 2 M's (1 by Brian Gort and 1 by Adam)!

International Disc Golf Center, Jim Warner Memorial, Long tees, 18 holes
Tournament Ed Headrick Hall of Fame Classic
I played the Jim Warner Memorial course for the first time blind. Don't be like me! At a minimum walk it first! I normally play 1 round per week. The day before this round I played the Steady Ed course. So I think I was fatigued some and its a long course with IMO extreme elevation. I think its the most elevated course I've played - IMO it is more elevated than Etowah and Lula. I hit a lot of trees off the tee and my placement was awful I could not find most landing zones plus my putting was off I missed 2 4 to 5 foot putts. I was told this course was harder than Steady Ed and intermediate rated and I found that to be true. The course ate me up and spit me out! However I did find it to be a fair course with some memorable holes. I'll be back!

International Disc Golf Center, Steady Ed Headrick Memorial, Hall of Fame Classic Layout, 18 holes
Tournament Ed Headrick Hall of Fame Classic
I played in my first A - tier tournament on the Steady Ed Memorial course at the Hall of Fame Classic at the IDGA in Appling, Ga. I have never been there before nor walked the course so I played it blind! I parred 9 holes! It had a few holes where water was in play and I did not go into the water or lose a disc! It had elevation changes both up and downhill. I was fortunate to have some card mates that had played it and they provided very helpful info about how to play the holes. For the most part I was very happy with both my drives off the tees and my putts! I did make some putts to save strokes! This course has some tunnel shots, both left and right turning holes and as I mentioned both water and elevation. Very fun course - Id recommended it!

J.P. Moseley Park, Toys For Tots, 21 holes
I played the toys for tots tournament! 21 holes! I did not keep my own hole scores but rather my card mate did - like in most tournaments. From now on I will keep my own hole scores too not because they don't keep them right but because I think it will help me to keep my own scores! To keep my mind in the game! This round was IMO my worst round ever - it was like I was a zombie! On the 2nd hole I got stung twice by wasps - later I got into an ant bed! The only bright spots of this round - IMO - was - I was complimented on my improved distance off the tee in the open. I did make a couple of putts! What looked like a good drive almost all ways hit a tree! 1 upshot went long, 2 upshots went right, 1 upshot went left and so on and on, Almost all landed in the briar patch, bush or shule inhibiinh my throw. I hit metal on like 3 or more putts! On holes I should of laid up I went for it and was punished severely...On the elevated hole - I think #10 - and #18 I rolled down the ridge. On the island hole I took an 11....of course I don't have the distance to make the island off the tee but then I missed the entire island from the drop zone like 4 more times with a penalty stroke each time. It was a nightmare! I think I need to modify my warmup routine and modify my practice routine... right now I practice alone and seldom play a round with anyone. This was my first sanctioned round in 3 months and I shot 90 points below my rating. This was the 2nd time I played this course - I played in the Mozethon more than 3 months - 27 holes -and got a 731 rating. That pretty much tells you what sort of day I had! I think playing a scored round once a week with someone will help me! I will continue to play charity, local, Par 2,senior type tournaments. I'll learn from this one and shake it off! I'm going back Friday and Ill let you know the results!

Salem Park, Regular tees, 9 holes
Starts out with holes 1-3 being pretty straight forward long bomb holes with no obstacles and minor elevation change. Hole 4 and 5 have mandos to clear the baseball fields. 6 is an easy par 2 with a few smaller trees with low hanging branches blocking any straight shots but allows for both forehand and backhand throws. 7,8,9 are all wooded in atleast partially making them the more technical line choosing holes. I didn't actually keep score - these scores are from my memory and I believe they are accurate!

Fontana Village Resort, Blue tees (long), 18 holes
Hello from Fontana Village Resort & disc golf course! My wife and I will be here a few days! Got here about 6 pm and among other things I went to walk the disc golf course for my round tomorrow! The first tee I came to was #2! I heard some chains and looked around to #1! The Mayor of Fontana Village (Rob) was just starting a round! He showed me #1 and recommended I play #2 from the short tee of 258 feet! He walked over to it and we talked about how to play the hole then he threw in a perfect ACE! He told me it was the first time he ACED it! My wife also witness the ACE and even she thought it was a thing of beauty!First time I played this course! I played the longs on all except 8 and 15! 8 is very elevated where you have to throw a long anny steep downhill to the basket and there's a threat to lose a disc! #15 you have to throw over a deep ravine and again if you miss you will lose a disc! It is a long course with lots of elevation! Uphill and downhill pin placements are elevated and can cause a roll away! If you like hills you will like this course!

Mathews Park, Long Layout, 18 holes
Doubles round
Played the September Shootout at Mathews Park in Monroe, Ga. This was my first best shot doubles tournament! My partner was Jonathan Jones... I didn't get the hole scores but the total score was 58! The course was mostly set up in the long pin placements with #4 and #16 setup as island holes (which I missed both times) and #2 setup with a hazard (which I made both times)! Played this setup blind although I am familiar with the long placements just not the islands and hazard! This is the score from round 2! I made it cross the water on #15, then missed the island on #16 by about 8 feet, I My drive on #1 looked like it was going in the water but it came back left enough to be safe.I hit my line on #5! I made the double mando on #6! I had a good drive landing in the fairway on #10. I did not hit my thin hyzer line on #12 but I got lucky an hit another line! I also hit the hyzer line on #14! No birdies! We beat our opponents the 8 and 9 year old brothers from Snellville! I might add they threw in 2 birdies and nearly made a comeback! That 9 year old could out drive me!

First time I played this course! Hole #11 I call the jungle hole - there was SHULE all around and the hole it also has several RAVINES all around it! I almost lost my disc on this hole! I did par it! Hole #14 did not have a define LINE! I could not find hole #!5 until after an extensive search! Same for #17 - I could not locate it for a long while so I was about to quit come to find out #17 is on the way back to the car! The course needs better NEXT TEE markings for sure!

9 baskets had been moved since the last time I played here On #1 - I hit the line I wanted to the left of the fairway - this would leave me a straight upshot...well I pulled the upshot to the right and hit a tree branch - thi cause my upshot to be really short and I missed the putt for a bogey 4. On #2 I again hit the hyzer line and parked it dead center in the fairway... this time I pulled my driver 2nd shot to the left .... I then hyzer around the trees to lay up for a par 4... normally I get 5,6 or 7! On #3 my driver hit a tree and bounced left... my upshot was a hyzer and short so again I missed the put for a bogey 4. On #9 i was putting for a par 4... hit metal and the putt rollaway like 25 feet ... i missed the comeback for a double bogey 6! On #10 I got a 6 instead of the 8's I have been getting! On #11 I missed my line and hit a tree on the right it kicked left.. I had to hyzer my upshot. On #12 I hit my line but it was short I had to hyzer my upshot around the tree and downhill and I parked my upshot and made the par! On #13 I hit the line off the tee but missed the birdie putt! On #16 and #17 my driver went right into the shule i had to scramble

here's the entire 21 holes scores....5,3,5,3,5,4,4,3,3,3,4,4,3,4,3,3,3,3,4,4,3 I started on #19! First time I played this course! I did not even walk it before playing it! I had watched a video on youtube about the highlights of this course and as you know a video does not do this course justice... Its by far the most elevated disc golf course I've encountered... I did manage to par 11 of the 21 holes including #4 - the signature CAVE hole and 1 of the par 4's #18! Played this on a very high humidity day! I missed 2 - 3 foot putts - 1 to start the round so you know how that goes! It was one of those days...It was however my best rated round by the PDGA 780! It is my understanding that some of the holes are in a portion of what was the Etowah River after it was diverted- in others words where the river use to be! Other holes the 2 par 4's were dug out and the dirt taken to fill in Allatoona Dam. If you haven't played this course you must play it once and see for yourself!

don't really know what to say about this round.....Several baskets had been moved since the last time I played here.... I was really disappointed with my drives - missed a lot of lines...Scored 6 strokes higher today than last time. 2 birdies last time none today.....although I did have a putt for birdie on 14... missed the putt and it rolled away like 25 feet and I missed the comeback for 4. Things were so bad on 10 I may have had a 7 but cold not remember my stroke count and i carry a stoke counter. Thats' how bad things were! Learned 2 things today....1 Don't rush a round because of rain in the forecast 2. Don't play 3 rounds in a week ie Lenora on Thurdsay, Herman C. Michael on Saturday and lmp today... I think was fatigued and of course it was like 90 degree heat...

My putter was like a magnet yesterday - most of those that didn't go in HIT metal and in one case hit metal twice! I did make all comeback putts! Of course those strokes added to the card! I can't blame the putting - my upshot was just short of my comfort putting zone! Oh did I mention the bigger blame was my driver missing some fairways! And that too is a stroke or more added to the card! Idid a lot of adding yesterday! So I have plenty to practice! Oh I did throw in a putt from 75+ feet!

My round started off good - I had a putt chance for birdie but with the wind decided at the last minute to lay up! Must be more decisive on putts. Then on #2 I was putting for bogey from 2 feet and didn't execute my putting routine and the wind blowed it off. Must always execute putting routine. On #4 didn't get past the mando and had to lay up to get around it! Twp days before I practiced this hole and threw 15 - all went past the mando - you know what I mean! On #8 didn't get my upshot into my putting comfort zone and ran the putt into the metal for a short roll away, I did make the comeback putt! Pulled it together on the back nine. I made some putts, upshots and drives. But of course missed some too! Baskets had been moved since the last time I played most were in the long position! My last round was a 62 - this round a 70! I hit the metal on 3 or 4 putts - this round could have easily been a 65 but it wasn't ha lol

Maple Creek Park, Regular tees, Front Nine, 9 holes
First time I played this course! Its a nice course! Course is mostly flat, grassy and open! I particularly liked #5 hyzer inside the fence, #6 anhzer and #9 over a grassy bern / mound! The Mach 5 baskets are exceptional - first course Ive seem with them! I did get 2 birdies! This course is a good warmup for Little Mulberry which is also in Dacula!

Tournament Prodigy Par 2
I played the Prodigy Par 2 tournament... first time ever in the park... all baskets are 180 feet or less... some open and some wooded ace runs.... some elevation changes that may cause the disc to roll into the water..... some water in play...must throw over pond on basket 15. I did it! For the Par 2 tournament they did have some DROP zones. Short elevated tee boxes!
