Here are the details for Saturday's The Last Migration.
Tournament Central will be at the Gray Duck Disc Golf store across the street from Oakwood Park. You do not need to check in before the round, and payouts will be distributed at the store at the end of the second round.
I am moving the tee time to 9:00 am instead of 8:30 as originally published as we should play faster with less players tomorrow, so we still should be done before dark anyways and this will allow everyone a little more time to get ready in the morning. I will be at the store from 8 until 8:40 before the round if you need any supplies before the first round.
There will be a quick players meeting at 8:45 to review everything below and we will tee at 9:00.
Layout:
Everyone will be playing Classic Layout which is the original (short) tees to the red baskets.
OBs:
In the parking lot, pavilion, or roads. Over any park boundary fence. Hole 1 is not an island, and the stairs on hole 2 are not OB. We are not using any mandatories.
We will be using PDGA Digital Scorecard as the official scorecard for this event. One player on each card will need to enter scores each round. If you are unfamiliar with this, the PDGA website has a tutorial at https://www.pdga.com/help/tournament-management/official-hole-scoring#scorekeeping. It is simple and easy to use. Just go to pdga.com/score and type in our access code: last
You can also download and use the new PDGA Live app to keep score and it has the rule book.
A backup scorecard should also be kept for each group per PDGA guidelines.
AFTER YOUR ROUND IS DONE EVERY PLAYER MUST CONFIRM THEIR SCORE ON THE PDGA SCORECARD PAGE. Please verify that the score is correct before confirming it on the app. If a score is incorrect and complete with the app the player will receive a 2 stroke penalty (same as the penalty for misadding your score on a paper card). If you have to play out a hole from a provisional shot or have a question about how to score a hole, come talk to me with your cardmates after the round before "completing" the scorecard. Using PDGA scoring will allow us to start the second round quicker and organise payouts faster.
Second round will start one hour from when the last card to finish is complete with their first round. The second round start time and your starting holes will be posted on the PDGA results page https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/75309 shortly after everyone has finished their first round. If you are ready to tee off one hour from when you finished, you won't be late. There will not be players meeting before the second round. Please follow the Facebook event page for updates: https://www.facebook.com/events/1050884862775282
Payouts:
Payouts for the Open division will be available in cash at the end of the day or via PayPal. If you choose PayPal, please contact me after you leave to provide the necessary information. If you want to get cash after the event you may cut to the front of the checkout line as I will have envelopes ready to go.
Payouts for AMs will be available onsite at the end of the day. Once everyone is finished with the second round, payouts will be posted on the disc golf scene event page . After payouts are posted you can redeem on site or at the store on a later date. Funny money earned at this event will expire 12/31/2023.
Ace Pool:
There will be no ace pool for this event.
