Southside Dubs is back July 4th

~ Southside Dubs update ~

Pending anything new from the Covid-19 nastiness, Southside Dubs will be starting back up Saturday, July 4th (course TBD), albeit with some slight changes for player safety.

- all buy in and payout will be via CashApp
- scores will be recorded via the UDisc app using the new "team" feature
- TD will be the only one touching the playing cards. Cards will be shuffled and then dealt in order down the sign in list to assign partners

Hello Fellow Disc Golf Athlete,

We want you to know about a big day for disc golf in the ATL. Our sport will be in the Atlanta media’s spotlight, as WSB and Innova Disc’s social media group will be participating in/covering the Toys for Tot’s event at J.P. Moseley park. We want you to be a part.

Here is what is happening. The Atlanta disc golf community is coming together to collect toys and raise funds for the USMC Toys for Tots. We are raising funds through player registration, hole sponsorship and by raffling some amazing prizes. (More on the prizes below) We are asking each player to also bring a new unwrapped toy to the event. The response has been wonderful. We have already collected two chests of toys and raised several thousand dollars. This is all to honor Atlanta’s own Captain Herb Emory.

There are several ways that you can help. First, you can go to the link below and register. You can also purchase raffle tickets there -(More on the prizes below). We mentioned registration first, because with so much media attention, we want a full field to show everyone just how much our sport has grown. There are other ways that you can help. You can also bring a new unwrapped toy. A manager from Toys for Tots will be there to accept it. You can also buy raffle tickets for some awesome prizes. Here is a list of what you can win. Note that you do not have to be present to win.

For the remainder of February, doubles will continue as normal at McCurry @ 10am (NOT the noon start time that we experimented with last Saturday) ... there will be 3 $1 CTPs, rather than ace fund option

Starting March 4th, we will be adding Tyus and Dundee into the mix with Village Green to spice it up every few months.

Ladies: optional 1.5 stroke handicap and/or option of playing from short tees if available

We have a good group of FayCo people to help run the action, but would be nic ... more
