Rolling Hills Park Closure

If some of you are not aware of this here is your notice.
Rolling Hills County Park will be closed completely from September 27th - November 14th.
This will force ending league 1 week early. Which means the last chance to turn in league rounds will be monday September 20th. all league rounds must be in the box at that point to be counted.
This also means that the Gorday Matthews Memorial Tournament planned for 10/10/10 at rolling will have to be moved. It will be held at Hudson Mills Metropark instead.

League season nearing the end

Well as some of you may know league season is approaching its conclusion.
Take note that League at Rolling Hills ends completely on Monday September 27th, all cards must be in the box so we can post final cards and scores. League at Hudson Mills ends on Wednesday September 29th and all cards must be turned in then or sooner.

League awards follows on Wednesday October 6th at Hudson Mills starting about 4PM - 6PM, Beer with proper ID, please. 2 Sides games which will include speedy Gonzalez ... more

Well as some of you may know league season is approaching its conclusion.
Take note that League at Rolling Hills ends completely on Monday September 27th, all cards must be in the box so we can post final cards and scores. League at Hudson Mills ends on Wednesday September 29th and all cards must be turned in then or sooner.

League awards follows on Wednesday October 6th at Hudson Mills starting about 4PM - 6PM, Beer with proper ID, please. 2 Sides games which will include speedy Gonzalez putting contest first introduced at this years DGLO, and 1 other game.

We will be running a doubles adventure starting about 6PM for $10 per player or $20 per team. Teams will be based on who wishes to play and random from within divisions. What this means is that a nuke player will be paired with a Hawk player (randomly) while the Venom and Glide divisions will form teams.
Payouts will be in merchandise only. 18 holes on the original course from the short tees best disc format. Awards will also be given for the speedy Gonzalez putting contest and other side game.
All payouts will be based on total score of a team. We expect you will be finishing after darkness so some glow (or LED lit discs) will be going on in the mix.

Elections will be held for the Board of directors and some voting on league / club decisions as well.
Discussions of problems in league this year will be held time permitting.

Bad Score Cards

There has been a horrible rash of people not following the necessary rules for scorecards.
All turned in scorecards must have full names on them!
You must enter the date of the league round you are playing on the card. All dates must be valid date for a league round 013110 nor is 043010. League started in May runs into September.
You must play your round with another 2010 club member as a witness.
Scorecards must be added correctly and totaled for 18 holes from the short tees. No dashes (- ... more

Cards must be readable both the names and the scores.
All holes are Par 3 no matter what the scorecard you are using might say.

Inability to follow these rules will result in the scorecard not being logged.
If you are date challenged, handwriting challenged, or math challenged please ask for assistance.

So if you don’t see a score for a card you think you turned in the above problems may be the cause!

1. 2-meter rule is not in effect for league play.
2. All league rounds are 18 holes from the short tees only.
3. Your league round must be played with 1 other league member!
4. Scorecards when turned in must contain your full name!
5. Date you played for, the Date is absolutely critical to you and the scorekeeper.
6. Scorecards must be added by the player, Total score.

7. Pars are all 3’s not what the cards at Hudson may show.
8. Dashes, slashes, -1, or +1 etc are not allowed and will be scored as 7’s. This is a PDGA rule and will be enforced by league. The previous is done for at least 2 reasons, 1 is for the scorekeepers for league the other is to better prepare you should you so choose to play in tournaments. DNF cards cannot be used. A DNF card is when you quit before completion of your round and 7’s are recorded across the remaining holes. As all scorecards scores are verified some of the scorekeepers get grumpy when scoring and not knowing what the extraneous characters can mean.
10. Players are responsible for turning in there scorecards to the scorekeeper or putting them in the box for collection purposes.
