Congrats to Ryan Herzog, who successfully defended his title and is the 2010 B@B champion.
Thank you to all the people that came out and played this year. It is you who make this league a success. You attendance and input on votes are what make this league fun. It's been a hell of a ride this year. From being kicked out of the park, to our first banning and probation, to hue ace pots. I hope everyone had fun this year and is looking forward to berths to the state finals and a run of discs next season. So, in short, thank you all for.....
SOUNDING THE MOTHER FUCKING HORN!!!!!
-Rooster
tonight is the final sounding of the horn. 2J and Herzog are still 3 points apart for this years title, so it all comes down to tonight for the 2010 B@B championship. More importantly to most of you, the ace pool is $262, that means if we get 19 or more it will crest $300. Your probably wondering, "What if there isn't an ace tonight?". Good question. If no one hits tonight we will be throwing off for it. Since the pot is so big I will be splitting it up and paying the closest thre ... more
Look s like a much tighter race this year for the horn. Water Squirrel and 2J are separated by 3 points going into tonight. It looks like it is gonna come down to the final week. Secondly, we have our second biggest ace pool ever($226+Tonight) available for the taking tonight. SOUND THE MOTHER FUCKING HORN!
If you didn't get enough wind this weekend at States I have great news for you. Wind will be steady at 20mph and gusting to 50mph at the horn today. Sound it.
B@B is the feature league this week in the MiCPS which means double points if you still care. Should be a solid turnout. 18 holes with a vote on longs/shorts. $154 ace pool. SOUND THE MOTHER FUCKING DOUBLE POINTED HORN!!!!
Just got off the phone with Stony Creek and received confirmation that The Buckhorn disc golf course is open ow after the storm on Thursday. Beautiful weather today so come on out and SOUND THE MOTHER FUCKING HORN! Cutting it down to 18 holes tonight due to daylight issues. We will still vote on longs/shorts. Ace pool is at $110.
Tomorrow night I will return to my rightful place at the throne of B@B. Possible rain will hopefully keep the casuals away. See you bitches there.
rooster has probably taken the ace pool down to indiana and has spent half of it by now. no worries though, i will cover him which is a hard task due to his girth. come get paid bitches.
I am in Indiana for Pro Worlds and thus, will not be at the Horn this week. Sadkins will be your master of ceremonies. Ace pool is at $286.
By the looks of things the rain is staying south of us. Hopefully the threat of rain will keep the casuals away. Ace pool will most likely be over $250 tonight. We have to vote on that tonight as well. See you at the horn sons.
So it's gonna be 91 at tee off. This can mean only 1 of 2 things. There will be less casuals or the casuals will be even more ignorant becuase they are carrying more beer to cool them down. I'd bet more of the latter than the former. Be prepared for that. Oh, and bring water, it's gonna be hot.
We'ere back on tonight as the rain is ending soon. Hopefully the rainy/grey skies keep the casuals away and we can get 24 long in. As always, it's up to you the player to decide the layout. see ya'll tonight.
Just got home from jury duty. The weather is shit and thus no league per se. Rary tonight bitches. I can feel his hate from here.
Brad Frase cleaned out the ace pool tonight when he hit hole 13. What makes him a bitch though is the fact that he took the ace pool down at the OU singles league the night before. Send your hate filled messages to him here: http://www.discgolfscene.com/profile/1566
35 tonight once again breaking the record. Thanks to everyone for coming out. No aces hit, so the pot grows to $112. Next week we will revote on the cali paying double issue.
Despite the fact that it is currently raining, there will be league tonight. Once this front passes we're actually supposed to see some sunshine. 5:50 reg cut off. Teeing at 6. The casuals should be non existant tonight so maybe we can get 18 long in? Also, Tonight is the first night your scores will count towards the MCoPS. See this link for details: http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/Michigan_Cooperative_Point_Series-Summer_2010
Damn sons. 33 players tonight. Thanks for coming out. Shevela hit the first league ace of the year on hole 15 and took home $110. Starting next week I will have a helper monkey by the name of Sadkins, so reging should go a lot smoother and we will have less redraws. Although I am 2 for 2 so far in that regard. We will continue the 5:45 reg cut off for 2 more weeks then it will be moved back to its normal 6pm. 18 short again next week just to be safe and the week after we will start voting layout.
We will be on the course at 6. Reg is closing firmly at 5:45. I don't care if you call and say you'll be there. 18 Short tonight. Round 2 of the battles tonight. Be there.
Also, Sadkins, I have the ace pool money. Shocking I know.
So yeah, 18 longs at 6pm will not work. We are voting on wether to start at 5:30 or to play 18 short at 6 for a few weeks in the talk section. Cast your vote there. Who knew they wanted people out of the park at 8? Thanks to everyone who showed up tonight.
Tomorrow is the first night of the B@B. I will see all you fools there for the first re-draw of the year! Also be sure to check out monday night singles at OU, no handicap, pro and am divisions. $5. Both leagues are a part of the MCoPS. More about that tommorow before league.

The end of an era.
It is with great sadness that I must resign as the league administrator of Battles at Buckhorn. I have accepted a job offer in which I will be working until 6pm five days a week and will not be able to run this league. Fear not though, the battles will continue in 2011 and beyond. Shaun Adkins and Nate Buban have offered to step up and take the reigns. I feel 100% confident I am leaving the league in in the best hand possible. I have faith in both these men that they can handle the responsibilit ... more

I want send a sincere thank you to Nate and Shaun for making it possible for you, the player, to continue to enjoy B@B in the future. I would also like to thank everyone who has come out and played. Without you guys this league wouldn't exist. Thank you to all the regulars for coping with the growing pains over these last two years and helping me try to make this one of the more efficient, fair, and fun leagues in the area. I hope you all continue to show your support for B@B and continue to SOUND THE MOTHER FUCKING HORN!
