Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Voting!

We will be presenting the Sportsman of the Year Award as well as the Sportswoman of the Year Award. Prizes to be determined. Get your votes in to Otis at [email redacted]. One vote for Sportsman and one vote for Sportswoman. Vote for the people you think demonstrated the greatest sportsmanship throughout the year. The votes will be counted and winners will be announced at the last day of league on November 15th at McCourtie.

9/26/2020 Purple Gang Open at McCourtie Park

Grand River Union is hosting the Purple Gang Open Saturday September 26th at McCourtie Park. It is a bring your own partner unsanctioned doubles tournament with Open, Am and Mixed divisions. Hope to see you all out there!

8/2/2020 Sunday Doubles

We had 19 players come out to McCourtie Park for 18 holes of doubles this Sunday. It rained but it didn't pour.

There was a three way tie for first at -9 so they all threw off for the three cashing spots. James Raupp was playing cali and he took down the throw off for first place and $42. Jessica Cook and Tucker got second place and $20. Bill Cottrell and Joel Coppernoll took $10 last cash.

Joel Coppernoll also got an ace on hole 7 with an ESP Buzzz and cashed for $162. Nice ... more

Justin Grow and Kelly Laderoot Wedding and Fundraiser Tournament!

Justin Grow and Kelly Laderoot are getting married and throwing a tournament to celebrate. You are ALL invited! There will be a short ceremony at 3pm on 8/8/2020 on one of the stone bridges in the park. The fundraiser tournament will be right after the ceremony.

Bring your own chairs and umbrellas for the ceremony. Wear a mask if you would like, and please observe social distancing. Respect everyone around you.

Sunday Doubles 7/26/2020

We had 18 players come out to Ella Sharp this last Sunday for 18 holes of doubles. The weather was great, just really humid.

Clay and Tyler Lash had the hot round of -10 for the win and $54. Casey Freeland and James Raupp shot a -9 for second place and $30. There was a tie for third place at -8 and they threw off. Big Country and Jay Day won the throw off and took third place and $18. Kelly Laderoot and Casey Cook took $10 last cash.

Sunday Doubles 7/19/2020

We had 20 people come out to McCourtie Park this last Sunday for 18 holes of doubles. As we walked out to our holes, the sky opened up and completely soaked us all. The rain quit after a few holes, but the damage had been done.

Sunday Doubles 7/12/2020

We had 17 people out to Ella Sharp Park last Sunday for 18 holes of doubles.

Two teams shot the hot round of -9 and there was a throw off. Joel Coppernoll and Otis won the throw off and took $38 for first place. KC Freeland and James Raupp took second in the throw off and took $20. Casey and Jessica Cook shot a -7 an took $10 for third place.

James took the $10 merch CTP on hole 6. Jeff Lozowsky took the $9 cash CTP on hole 11. Jimmy Faust took the $8 cash CTP on hole 9.

Ace Pool is up to $228. We are at McCourtie Park this Sunday July 19th. See you out there!

Sunday Doubles 7/5/2020

We had 24 people out to McCourtie Park this Sunday for 18 holes of doubles. It was super hot and super humid but the mosquitoes were not bad. The course itself is in great shape.

Big Country and Joel Coppernoll shot the hot round of -11 and decisively won first place and $46. We had 36 players come out to Ella Sharp Park this last Sunday for 18 holes of doubles. The weather was great, just a little humid.

Three teams shot the hot round of -8. Hippy John Celestino and J-Grow tied Joey P and James Raupp as well as Tyler Lash and Baw Beast, all at -8. J-Grow threw for the throw off on hole 16 and instantly got booed as his spider hit chains and landed for the ace in the throw off taking the win and $46 for Grow and Hippy John. We had 30 players out to Mccourtie Park this Sunday for 18 holes of doubles. The weather was perfect and the mosquitoes have settled down a lot.

Sloan Bone and Malachi Peterson had the hot round of -12 to take the win and $54 first place money. Baw Beast and Otis tied Danny Miller and Jimmy at -10. Doubles this Sunday at Mccourtie 6/7/2020

The stay at home order is over and we can gather in groups up to 100 outdoors so long as we social distance between each other while out at the course. Stay at least 6 feet apart from anyone not in your household and refrain from high fives and handshakes or touching each other or each other's equipment. We are running Doubles this Sunday and every Sunday through November 15th. Check the schedule weekly for any changes. Stay safe and we'll see you out there!

Sunday League Start Pushed Back

With everything that is going on, we are not going to start Sunday league any earlier than April 19th. We will keep you posted if this date gets pushed back again. Sorry if you want to get out and play leagues, but we feel this is the responsible thing to do.
