Here are the 2015 FND@S champs

Ladies champ is Lori Mullen winning $50 and another title.

In the Pro division, King Stony showed up tonight! Shot a -4 on 18 longs of the blue and finished 2 strokes ahead of Herzog after the final 3 holes on the Green. Great round from both Dan B and Chef also!

The Finals!

Ok here we go. This is for the titles and over $1,100 in cash and prizes.

The Pro's will show up early and play singles on 18 longs then 1,10 and 11 on blue. 21 holes for the championship. The winner gets their name engraved on the Stony cup and $250 in cash.

The Am's, after thinking it through, will play on the blue north course. You guys are teeing off late, this course is more open and will be easier to play if it gets too dark. Plus most of the casuals will probably be playin ... more

Here are the holes the doubles will play, and IN THIS ORDER...
5,6,15,16,17,18 longs,1 short, 2 short then finish on hole 3. Thats 9 holes. Any playoff will be stroke play sudden death played on hole 4 then 3 then repeat if needed.

The doubles game will be the same as last week, rotating teams, best shot singles. Put all 4 names on the scorecard, then flip for partners. Rotate partners on every hole. You get each player as your partner twice. The player with the lowest score wins and will go home with a brand new portable Chainstar and the 2015 doubles title.

In the singles division Chef Schulte and Dan B take it down and advance into the finals. Dan B also took home $50 for winning pro tonight.

In doubles Jay B and Breon both asvNce to the finals for a chance to take home a basket.

Semi Finals

Here's the layout for the semi final round.

We'll play a few holes from each course in this order:
Start on Green hole 1, skip over and play 10,11,12,13, skip to 17short,18. After 18 Green,walk over to hole 4 on the Blue and play 4,5,6,skip to 15 short w island hazard(oh yes!) then short 2.

If the course is busy well just play a layout on the blue but it may rain Friday so...

Week 25 Results. ACE!!!!!

The weather held off for us again and we had a great time battling for the playoffs. It was a shortened track so we could finish in the light.

ACE!!!! Brad Fuelling aced hole 14 Green for $220 and 2 points BOOM!

The hot round was -5 shot in doubles split 5 ways after a playoff. Barts partner left and Bart took it down solo for the win and $19. The other $19 was won by Bryan B and Jeremy W.

Week 24 Results

We played a 15 hole loop on the new holes tonight. Pros played singles, ams played best shot dubs as usual.

2J takes down the win tonight in pro, he won the cash 50/50 for $15 and an extra league point moving him into the semifinals. Great job tonight deuce!!!

The club ctp was won by King Stony moving him into a tie with Herzog for the league lead in points. Tied with 1 week left. Both players are now guaranteed cash in the finals. Great job!

Week 23 Results

Layout was 1 thru 18 shorts on the north course.

There was a 6 way tie for first place in open tonight at -9 (45). The playoff was won by King Stony stealing the extra 2 points from some very needy players and the $56 for 1st place!

Hot round was -12 by team Hollinger / Jodway putting their total take for this nice evening of golf to $53 each in cash and merchandise. Nice job baggers!

2015 Playoffs Are Right Around The Corner!

We are still planning on doing the finals on Friday night Sept 18 on a 13 hole loop unless we decide to play a full round 18 hole on the weekend. If this is what you guys want please say so asap.

The last week to earn league points for the finals will be the first Friday in September. Week 24. After that, the top 6 point earners will make the playoffs. The top 2 in both divisions will get a first round bye while the next 4 players playoff for two spots in the finals.

Team Stony Charity League Night July 31st

Team Stony and Audra Stoker from the Shelby Crossing Health Campus are teaming up to help raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease Friday July 31st at the Stony Creek DGC.

We will be giving away our ace pool and our cash 50/50 July 31. If a player aces during the next 2 weeks, they will only get 1/2 of the pool. If that happens on July 31st, Team Stony will add $100 to the other 1/2 of the pool and donate it to the charity.

Skyler Stoker laid the smackdown upon us again! He KILLED it with an 11 down 43 on the very tough fairway or OB layout. Just killed it! Nice job.

Week 15 Results

The weather tonight was simply spectacular! It doesn't get much better than this! 72 degrees, very light warm breeze, gorgeous sunset, casuals were few and far between, 4th of July weekend... Muricaaaaa!

The layout was 1 thru 18 longs with 1 & 2 short.

Also spectacular was Skyler Stokers play. He shot -9, aced hole 7 for $350 and 2 points, won the singles division for $50 and 4 points and won the singles vs doubles hot round side bet for $44 making his total take home $444!!! LOL! ... more

Week 14 Results

ADDY! The layout was all longs minus the 6 holes out in the field. Holes 16 thru 21.

Mike Walker won singles with a -5 and Eric R and Steve T won doubles and tied Tony V and John Sand for the hot round with a -6.

Not sure who else won what but Im pretty jealous that I missed this week up at Addy.

Friday Night Discin @ Addy!!!!

Stony Creek will be having their fireworks show Friday night and will be charging $10 per car after 5pm regardless if you have a pass or not.

LEAGUE WILL BE AT ADDISON OAKS AT WITH A 6:30pm START! We'll give you guys an extra 1/2 hour to get up there and well only play 18 holes. Jay and John will be running the show so try not to give them too easy of a time while they are singing people up.

GREAT weather tonight! Just perfection!

Big winner tonight playing Stableford was Ryan Herzog in singles. He eagled his last hole to take the win by 2 points with a +21 taking home $48 for winning pro and $42 for winning the hot round! Nice Zog!

Club CTP worth a good $70+ and 1 point went to Jeremy Ward.
50/50 was won by Nate Brown for $33 and a point.

Week 12 Results

Very low traffic. Very good weather. 46 golfers came out tonight. We played the Black layout and got to play the back 9 for the first time in a while. The course looks just great right now!

Big winners tonight were Bart and King Stony. King shot a -8 and won $50 in the pros and winning the doubles vs singles side bet worth $40 tonight. That makes the total take home $90 for tonight. Boom!

Week 11 Results

Great weather for some disc golf action tonight up at Stony! 49 players came out for some fun.

Shooting the hot round tonight and new record for this layout, Evan Little and Tony Vidal smash an 8 under 46 on this very tough track. They both won $33 in merch and $26 in cash.

The Club CTP was won by Dean Y taking home over $80 in prizes and 1 league point.

The Cash 50/50 was won by 2J taking home $40 and 1 league point.

The Ace Pool is now at $260

Week 11 Layout

Ok I have a great layout for you guys this week. Fairway or OB, short 1 & 2, island 15. I think its the exact same as last year. They just cut the grass last night or this morning and I just got back from putting down some paint. Its looks awesome out there!

This is how we play Fairway or OB. On several designated holes, all the uncut grass not surrounded by fairway is a hazard. If you land in the rough you add a stroke to your score and play from where your disc is. THERE ARE NO DROP ZONES. Dont take your disc back to the fairway or out of the woods. You play from where it lies.

OB holes are:
Hole 1 short
Hole 2 short
Hole 3
Hole 4 has some relief to the left of the green. Once you get to the hill 50' short of the basket, the OB line does a 45 degree turn toward the main road. Same as the last few years.
Hole 5 Watch out for OB paint 10' past the basket.
Hole 6 Ams MUST be in the cut grass if they DONT drive past the 2 giant evergreens in the fairway or you add a stroke. Pro's MUST drive PAST the 2 trees or add a stroke.

Hole 12
Hole 13
Hole 15 Island. Make the 30' circle or add a stroke.
Hole 16

PDGA Sactioning

I just talked to the PDGA tour manager and he said players can NOT opt out of the ratings. If you play the league, you must get a rating. Because of insurance purposes he said.

If this changes your mind about the sanctioning please let me know asap! We are on the schedule with our 1st week tonight but wouldn't be too hard to remove us.

The PDGA will sanction 6 weeks at a time. There will be no extra cost to our players. Also you dont have to get a rating if you dont want to. Just tell me not to include you.

The rating would be for singles only. The PDGA does not offer ratings for doubles yet.

Our biggest turn out ever with 23 pros and 36 ams! Holy mother lets keep this thing rolling!

We played 18 shorts and got finished before dark even with a ton of casuals out there. 72 degrees w a slight breeze and mostly sunny!!!

The hot round of the night was -13 (41) shot by team Roberts/VanHavel. Cody V was not in the doubles vs singles side bet so Roberts won $31 plus $35 in discs. Ynd yours truly took home the other $31 for the 2nd hottest round of -12 (42) adding to the $60 for winnin ... more

After a several of weeks of thinking about it and asking other players about it, here is what we've come up with for the doubles vs singles side bet Eric Roberts broke on week 1.

-There is no more cap for the winner. It is winner or team(s) take all.
-If you are in doubles, individual players can only win 1/2 of the purse even if you play cali. The other 1/2 will be split by the next best scores.
-If your in doubles and you win the SvD side bet and your partner is NOT in the side bet, ... more

If you are late. You must call someone at league who isn't late (not me) and have them pay for you including any side bets. That person is now also responsible for informing you on which hole to go to. Pros take 7's for every hole they miss.

42 and rain with a slight breeze. Still had 35 players come out for some Friday night disc golf league action!

Big winners tonight were Herzog and Bauman tied for the singles win and splitting the $46 doubles vs singles side bet!

Darren Harper the won $29 50/50 ctp and 2J won the club ctp. Both guys also got a point.

Doubles was won in a playoff by Tony V and Tom C. Nice job guys!

If you want to get the 2015 membership polo/shirt bag tag and towel, you will have until the end of April. I will be placing the order that week.

Week 2

I have a couple options for our layout this week.
If someone brings a basket again, well play the exact layout as last week. If not well play the back 9 minus #27 then 1-4 (short 1 & 2).

Club CTP this week will be for a CFR champ glow Roc 3, an Innova Roc tee shirt and free food and drinks from 7-11...and a point!

Were Back!

Cold and windy but were were there and happy as ever! Had a great start to the year and looking forward to another season of golf at Stony!

Club CTP for a Champ Glow Thunderbird, Innova shirt and a point was won by Tom J.

50/50 CTP was won by J Ride winning $30 and a point.

Doubles vs Singles was won by Eric Roberts shooting the hot round of the night and also winning doubles. Dude walked away with $56 in merch and $40 in cash. Boom!

We'll be playing the back 9 plus a temp hole coming back up the hill after hole 27. If we get enough ppl well add short 1 & 2 and or 3 & 4 also. It's gonna be chilly out so I don't think there will be too much traffic.

Club Ctp for this week will include a club stamped glow champ thunderbird and an Innova shirt.

1 point for winning 1 or more side bets
2 points for beating at least 1/2 of the field
3 points for an ace
3 points for a win

The top (? # of players) from each division with the most points at the end of the season make the playoffs.

Tie breakers will be:
1. Club members
2. Wins
3. Aces
4. Points per week
5. Sudden death playoff

Four Weeks Till Tee Off!

Thats right! March 27 is our first scheduled round. Its gonna be our biggest and best year yet. When the second 18 gets finished this year, we will enjoy our own 18 hole course during league night. The casuals will be asked, not told, to play the course we're not playing that night. This will make for way way less traffic out there for us AND the casuals!

We have a very nice membership package for this year including your choice of club dry-fit tee or club polo.

The Open champion will be the 13th name engraved on the Stony Cup and the doubles champion will again win a premium portable basket. For the ladies we will again match every dollar they pay into the finals purse and crown a 2015 champion.
