No Big News, Just A Small League Growing The Sport / Sportsmanship

The 2017 Sunday Random Draw Dubs ended this past Sunday when 10 players competed for the cash and prizes that was collected from the 24 or so players that visited and participated in the points league. Overall consensus was that the $3.00 to play league was successful and fun for all. The format was a trial just to see if no weekly payout could work. The 2017 Sunday Random Draw Dubs ended this past Sunday when 10 players competed for the cash and prizes that was collected from the 24 or so players that visited and participated in the points league. Overall consensus was that the $3.00 to play league was successful and fun for all. The format was a trial just to see if no weekly payout could work. How we did this was to take $1.00 weekly for the end of year points payout, $1.00 per week for the Ace Pool and $1.00 for the course donation fund. In the end, $125.00 went to donations, $125.00 was paid out to the top 7 points winners and $135.00 for the Ace Pool. This past Sunday the $125.00 was divided from 1st place finisher Jason Mathe ($45.00), 2nd John Forshee ($22.00), 3rd Dave Hamilton ($18.00), 4th Craig Prime ($14.00), 5th Ron Peludat and Alex Wilk ($10.00 each) and 7th place Tony Mapes ($6.00). No one hit an ace all year so the $135.00 with an added $20.00 donation from Bob Morton and Alex Wilk was split by giving all 10 players a crisp $10.00 bill. There was a CTP throw off for the remaining $55.00 with Craig Prime getting the closest by a foot or less over Bob Morton ($35.00 & $20.00). It was a great season, a great day and certainly, a GREAT course. A huge thanks to all that volunteered to help with course improvements, CTP donations, organizing and running leagues and more. Fall

Congrats to Alex Wilk for the 1st ever league deuce on hole "20", 9 or 3. A score of 55 by Alex & John Forshee, nice shooting indeed. Points leader Jason Mathe has it locked up nearly doubling his nearest competitor John Forshee. Also, John & Dave (Hammy) Hamilton are fighting a close battle for 2nd place while 4th through 7th are indeed a battle. Sunday 10:30 dubs is still planned although there may be limited numbers of players since many are playing The Discraft Michigan State Championships - good luck to all competitors

tomorrow after the 10:30 dubs round all players will have the option of buying into a CTP to win the older used Innova Traveler basket pictured below. It will cost you $1.00 per throw and you can buy as many tosses that you think you'll need to win. take a look in the pictures to get a glimpse of the basket
