Poor course management has led to this promising disc golf course to fall into shambles. For several summer seasons now, the fairways remain unkempt and grass quickly grows to knee-high length thus diminishing a number of fairways entirely besides a few single-person wide walking paths through the grass. Poor course management has led to this promising disc golf course to fall into shambles. For several summer seasons now, the fairways remain unkempt and grass quickly grows to knee-high length thus diminishing a number of fairways entirely besides a few single-person wide walking paths through the grass. A few storms came through this spring knocking trees down on the course. The trees laying across fairways were cut into logs, however the logs still remain where they came to rest on the fairway. Several other trees that came down are in dangerous positions, only being held up by another tree it is leaning against. The city of Wausau, where course is located, has an active disc golf scene with its own Facebook page (W.A.D.G.E.) however there is no sign of an organized course management. I have seen simple requests for volunteers made by other systems of course management on their courses being successful but not even this has been organized for Yellow Banks Park. It seems responsibility for this course is gone. If you decide to come play here, bring discs that you won't care to lose.
