Way to overgrown on a few of the holes, and ridiculous water hazards. I didn't loose a disc and I appreciate water hazards, but overshooting a hole by 10 feet on multiple holes will end up in a pretty sizable river - dumb layout. The course does offer a variety of shots, and some holes are fairly picturesque. Watch out for the tripping hazards thought.

Yellowbanks is a fun, yet challenging course. The condition of the course has been gradually improving since it's inception in 2011, thanks to the hard work of the Wausau Area Disc Golf Enthusiasts. Tee pads will be leveled and rubber mats installed in the spring of 2013. Although many of the locals play all 9 holes as par 3's, it would be fair to state that both holes 5 and 7 play as par 4. As previous review stated, this course is heavily wooded and has water hazards (in the form of a large creek) on holes 4, 5, and especially 6.

A few storms came through this spring knocking trees down on the course. The trees laying across fairways were cut into logs, however the logs still remain where they came to rest on the fair ...

This course has been neglected in the past, but has gotten a complete overhaul over the last few months. It's a great little technical course with improvements in the works. It's only going to get better. The overgrown unplayable days are a thing of the past. It's getting the love it deserves now. Check it out.

Difficult wooded course, some water. Great variety. They will be adding an additional 9 holes in the near future.
