Two baskets on each of the front holes now. Yellow pins are shorter on 1, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12; White pins are shorter on 4, 5, 6, 8. The pins are similar distance on holes 2 & 9. Excellent work by all who made the new baskets happen!

Last Sunday we played a Wolf round here. If you've never played this format, it's a fun 5-person skins game with alternating partners. The order was JamesW, Me, LukeS, DMR, DanBus. James won .80, Luke & I each lost $1.80, DanBus lost a buck, and DMR cleaned up, banking $3.80 for his effort on the 25-hole course.

There are a few alternate Pin Placements on the course this weekend. Hole 5 is 60 ft longer. Hole 8 is 40' longer and right. Hole 11 is 70' shorter and to the right. Hole 22 is 60' shorter and to the left.

Sounds like a great change Walt. Any chance we could consider short teepads for each hole?

Walt Guttinger   March 7, 2017 at 12:26pm

Yes, thats in the works as people donate labor, etc. There are short pads now on 6, 11, 13, 25 and 26. You could use the short one for 25 backwards toward 22 if you like.

Great, thanks Walt!

Walt Guttinger    April 13, 2016 at 11:42pm

FYI- The disc golf course will be closed to all players this weekend for a large concert that will have campers all over the course. Course will also be closed for public play for the PDGA tournament on May 28-29, 2016.

Starting next week, 3/13/2015, the SAFE-D Meeting will tee at 5:30pm instead of the current earlier start. We will play one of the 18-hole layouts so none of the round should be after dark. As days get longer we can add more holes and start later. Thank you Mr Time Change!

Starting next week, 1/30/2015, the SAFE-D Meeting will tee at 5pm instead of the current 5:30 start. We will play one of the 18-hole layouts, so hopefully not much of the round will be after dark. As days get longer we can add more holes and start later.

MoccasinCreek18 is an ongoing project to craft different PDGA rated 18-hole courses from the normal 25-hole course at Moccasin Creek DGC.
The purpose is to provide fun and challenging layouts suited to player's individual skill levels. (What most courses do by offering multiple tee pads and pin placements.) This is something we can do for very little cost and without making modifications to the existing course.
All of these layouts are in the refining stage and need to be tested and modif ... more

Here is a link to a map of the GOLD layout that Glen worked up. Good test of your skills but not for beginners; par may be a 1000-rated round!
