Negatives: Almost every hole has a pin way off to the right making the holes almost impossible due to abundance of trees lining the fairways with hardly any area for a landing zone. 80% of the course is a forced over anhyzer for your Right handed player, or it’s basically just a lefty course. Brush, and rough are so thick in some areas you can hardly manage to save par let alone putt inside the circle. Putting greens are supposed to be be for putting, and trees next to baskets or putting you in a ‘tree trap’ takes away from great shots and turns it into a gimmicky course. I shouldn’t be 20-30 feet away and have no put because there’s 15 trees in the way with no line.

Overal: not a horrible course, but you need more luck than skill to play here. If you lack certain aspects of your game, this course will bring those out and force you to become better. There’s better courses around that are fair for everyone, this isn’t for the average golfer or lower.

This is the best course in the Milwaukee area, hands down. Try it again if you haven’t in a while, it’s alive and growing. Every year this course continues to get better and better! There are more tee pads and new basket locations each year that help transform this from beginner to almost a DGPT tour stop. This is the best course in the Milwaukee area, hands down. Try it again if you haven’t in a while, it’s alive and growing. Every year this course continues to get better and better! There are more tee pads and new basket locations each year that help transform this from beginner to almost a DGPT tour stop. The on site shop is great and Josh is always up for some good disc golf conversation. The course is generally flat with a challenging layout of open and wooded holes. Although the holes are wooded, there are achievable lines on each hole if you can hit the gaps, which to me personally, is more interesting than wooded courses that have no real gaps and play like pinball machines. Stays dry after a rain and the mosquitoes are under control.

You won't find a more picturesque course on a sunny day in the middle of October. The 9 hole beginner/warm-up course is heaven if you like ace-runs. There's also a nice stocked pro shop. The fact that its inside a county park makes it a family destination. There are basketball courts, a dog park, a baseball diamond, playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, swimming/fishing pond and many shelters to rent for gatherings.

Sandy Knoll is among the nicest courses I've played anywhere.

As on right now only 18 does not have a permanent long tee yet but is said to be done on the next course work day. Most hole are between 170 to 280 ft.
