This Saturday is the 5th Annual Hands to the Sun. 2 rounds of 24 holes at Seymour. Optional player packs for even bigger payouts per division.

Come join Murder Mitten Disc Golf Club and our 5th Annual Hands to the Sun. This will be a C-Tier event for both Pros and Ams.

2 berths for the 2017 Michigan State Championship will be available to win. 1 in Mens AM1 and 1 in Mens AM2.

Everyone will be playing 2 rounds of 24 holes.

Player Packs this year will be optional and are available to the first 50 people that want them. This is being done to increase the amount winnings for payouts in each division.

Lunch will be provided for all players in between rounds.

Looking at some days to get out to oakwood with some people to help plan for the changes that will be taking place on the course. The days I'm looking at will be this Saturday March 4th and next Saturday March 11th. We will be meeting at 10am on these days. We will not be doing any work these days, just looking at what I have planned and taking any and all advice from the people that show up. We will be putting in cement tee pad this year so our layout work needs to be final. Please let me ... more

The only two days i can fit in are November 23 and 27 at 10:00am (11/23 & 11/27 @ 10am). This is your chance to help improve a course that was installed this year. If you have problems with the current layout regarding hole length these tee pad will help stretch out six holes. We can also discuss the issues with the field holes and how to fix it while minimizing the work needed to do so. No work will be done on these days, all we are doing is walking and planning. The work will be done next year. Also on a side note the Oxford Township Parks millage proposal passed in this past election so Dogmans Den will be getting cement tee pads next year as well. The future is bright for this course so come on out and be a part of it.

This Saturday (Nov 5th) is the Dogman Doubles fundraiser tournament sponsored by Detroit Disc Co. This event will help build funds for Oxfords newest course. Come on out for 2 rounds of fun and feel free to give input about ways to improve the course. $120 added cash.

Just got back from the course with good news. I had a walk thru with the parks superintendent and director about making alternate tee pads. They have given me approval for the alternate tee pads, as far as moving and making others that is going to be put on hold for now. I will start looking at setting up some volunteer work days to make these new changes to the course. Please let me know if you want to help. Remember this is your chance to help give input on how these new areas will be carved out.

I was just out on the course today staking out potential locations for alternative tee pads as well as moving some too. Be on the lookout for orange stakes.

Potential changes include:
Hole 1 alternate tee pad, deep left adding some distance but changing line
Hole 3 moving tee pad, up right making walk safer
Hole 4 alternate tee pad, back left adding 80-100 ft and new line
Hole 6 alternate tee pad, back slight left adding 60-80 ft slight line change
Hole 8 moving tee pad, left making shot ... more

Also im looking into removing hole 3 and making another hole that would play between 15&16. This change would give hole 2 alternate basket locations between its current location and hole 3s "old" location. As always cutting has to be given final say by the park for now but im confident these changes can happen.
