Robert--GoatFish-- Goodrich 47 - Blue tees, 10 holes "It was a beautiful Autumn morning in Marianna, and a good day to be out on the course. Ferlain, Krissy, Chris and Josh played along and we had a decent time. Not the best games for any of us, but had fun none-the-less, and that is what it is all about afterall......Right? :-] It may be time to reconfigure this course. After playing these other courses, we are learning the appeal of the short, fun course. Granted, it is great to have the monster holes, but 1 or 2 would suffice, not 7 out of 10. It is the difficulty of this course however that has really tightened-up all of our games, so the current configuration certainly serves a purpose. All of us (Billy, Chris, Ferlain and myself) have achieved what remains to be the best score on the course (+1), so perhaps the time is right. It is like Pee-wee sports, EVERYBODY IS A CHAMPION! Robert--GoatFish-- Goodrich 45 - Blue tees, 10 holes "Had a good game with Chris and the lovely Roberta. I was on for the most part, but there were a few rookie mistakes during the putting that caused most of the issues. I say issues, but with a +3 score, there were not many. A lot of wasted opportunities. I birdied holes #5, 6 & 7, but with a bogey on 3, 8, 9 and a double bogey on 4, I could not fully capitalize. I had the opportunity to EAGLE hole #7 (ligit) with a 40-foot putt, but threw it wide, and 'settled' for a birdie. How stupid did that sound....SETTLED!!"Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Robert--GoatFish-- Goodrich 50 - Blue tees, 10 holes "The round started well, but fell apart within the first few holes. My sidearm has gone to crap, primarily from lack of practice. Towards the end of the round I was strictly flicking to try and tighten-up on that toss. I got a few things figured out, but still a long way to go. A word to the wise: Practice all of the throwing styles and keep them loose. I shied away from the sidearm flick, and now it is biting me in the butt! Kudos to Chris for a better round than I, but I think he would also say that it was far from acceptable."+2
Robert--GoatFish-- Goodrich 45 - Blue tees, 10 holes "My wife Roberta and I played a round in the morning, and it went pretty well. I was very close to ending the round at even par (the Cheshire Cat at this point), but bogeyed 2 out of the final 3 holes. Roberta played an amazing round, and even exceeded her own expectations. She doesn't play too much anymore due to reasons other than her own desire, but it makes me quite happy to have her out on the course with me. No such thing as a bad game when she is playing alongside me. I LOVE YOU HONEY!!"Friday, October 21, 2011

Robert--GoatFish-- Goodrich 48 - Blue tees, 10 holes "Not a bad round overall. Krissy played well despite her disapproval of her score. She is really beginning to extend the distance of her throw. It was nice to have Josh and Callie (I hope I spelled that correctly) there also. We all had decent games, but nobody had a great game. Some amazing throws though, and THAT is what keeps us coming back. Well, that, and the fact that playing Disc Golf just ROCKS!!â€"
