Kitson is quickly becoming an exceptional course. Excellent design and layout with a lot of variety and challenge, especially from longs (yellow markers with 4 400+ holes). Hole 18 is 700+. In my opinion some of the shorts (red markers) could be a little longer to add to the degree of difficulty. Perfect for recreational users though. Kitson is quickly becoming an exceptional course. Excellent design and layout with a lot of variety and challenge, especially from longs (yellow markers with 4 400+ holes). Hole 18 is 700+. In my opinion some of the shorts (red markers) could be a little longer to add to the degree of difficulty. Perfect for recreational users though. The first 2 holes are open but 1’s basket has guardian trees and stacked wood and 2’s basket is next to a tree and rough on the right. The remainder of the course is moderately wooded with holes varying in length with relatively fair but tight fairways and pretty severe roughs. Kicks off trees in fairways is always a possibility. Multiple lines are available on most holes. Hole 11 is memorable with the fenced in OB swamp on the right that will be found with errant shots or tree kicks. Luckily it has a gate and one can attempt to retrieve discs. Hole 13’s drive requires a precise shot through trees to the basket on a hill. Rollaway potential for sure and longer drives could go into the pond. Hole 15 has an elevated basket and 16 is heavily wooded. Overall, the course is clear of litter, has new wooden benches and baskets, nice signage and next hole directional markers. Since it’s still a work in progress, be careful of the small stumps in the fairways and cleared trees that are still in the rough on some holes. Currently there are adequate wood framed dirt pads. Once the cement pads are in and the course is cleared, it could be “A” rated IF it’s maintained properly…. The jury is still out.
