This a unique, technical, flat and wooded beach course layout with sand fairways. The fairways have very low ceilings and require blind shots on both short and long holes (no water hazards). Creative shot selection and precision placement is necessary and most holes are RFFH friendly. Holes have multiple sharp and tight lines around, through, under and over scrub oaks and beach trees. The course is well maintained and has trash cans, benches and tee signs. The pads can become slippery when cover ...

Played an afternoon round with my family while visiting the Kure Beach area during our vacation. A hot and humid day, however the course provided some shelter from the sun. My first coastal terrain course, and I found the landscape wonderful. Very different from what this oHIo boy is used to. The trees are a unique feature, defining the borders of each hole and are punishing to errant shots. Low enough to fly over on a few shots, but the trees along with the sandy ground are what make this layou ...

Excellent course with a sweet layout. Only gripe is the trees that are so thick they seem to grab your disc and hang on to it. Keep an eye on your line if you wanna keep 'em! Regardless though, Kure Beach is still the #2 course in the Cape Fear Region, second only to The Castle.

Fun, challenging course right off the beach. The course has low hanging vegetation, sandy terrain, and requires a versatile and wide, creative shot selection. Course is very well maintained, not too busy, and has an easy walking layout. Course can get extremely hot in the summer with the white sand, however it is definitely worth a play.

FUN course with plenty of ace runs. Excellent for intermediate players as well as beginners. One of the few areas in NewHanoverCounty, of the scrub oak forest environment remaining open to the public, and not considered trespassing on U.S. PROPERTY.... You can see the ocean from two different TeePads and one basket!

Fun beach course with many different shot requirements. Sand for the fairways so not much action after you land, so be accurate on your shots. Trees are like nothing Ive ever seen, thick and lots of branches/limbs making your disc either skip off or get eaten completely and stuck. Multiple pins which are hidden on 1/2 the holes can make it difficult to know where to throw off the tee sometimes. GREAT for casual rounds while your fam is 1/2 a mile away at the beach.

Fun course on a lot of sand and the wind off the ocean and beach really come into play here. No concrete tees here hurt the score but the sand would make for a slippery tee box. They use rubber matts to Tee off of. Keep disc low. Multiple basket locations and tees on each hole.

Love this beach course! Difficult for me, but some better players find it easier. Some long tough holes, and some picturesque holes. Always a challenge when it it windy. Well maintained by the Pleasure Island DGC.

A precision course. Only played it once so far, but not really any holes out of 18 where you can have a legitimate rip off the tee box.

Hot and dusty course on the beach. Not alof of variety here. Woudl much rather make the drive and play Castle Hayne instead.
