There has been a number of ongoing discussions in this talk section about removing the olive bushes (you'll need to scroll through). The front office has been hammered with complaints for years. To answer your question though, a vast array of players are behind this clean up. And don't worry too much, those "gaps" were the olives used to be will filled in with fresh, locally occurring vegetation

Hi, Mike. The park planted Olives in the area many years ago, I know all about that. My point is that there are hundreds of Olives all across the park which could be removed before Olives integral to the courses are touched. Why have a big flurry of activity to remove only those on the courses when the roads and paths throughout the park are lined with Olives? It seems poorly thought out to direct the Scouts to denude the golf courses when so many other parts of the park could use the same c ... more

I believe the reasoning Joe is because the Autumn Olive is from Asia, and never used to be in the park until recently (all of North America really). They are pretty much considered a weed/invasive species. So ya, they need to be removed from the course since they don't even occur naturally. They are taking over the course and affect the play-ability. But yes, whole park needs a cleanse

Why are they concentrating on removal of Autumn Olive bushes from the courses when there are hundreds of others in the park which could be removed without assaulting the courses so directly? Get the meaningless ones taken care of first, then come for the ones on the course, imho.

Pretty sure Jerry sponsored the beverages and the golf cart.....

Fortcho, I assume you have discussed this with Jerry over some beverages, correct?

I was out at the Park today with Johnny V and the park staff. We tagged about a hundred or so Russian Olive trees for removal, and now we need help taking them all out. The main work day is scheduled for next week Saturday the 15th from 10:00 am to 1:00pm. We need volunteers, loppers and saws. Let's make this course beautiful like it once was! Give back and get good karma every time you play here! Any questions let me know 734-276-7207.

Thanks Chris but it was left out in the open, then gone when i returned for it 30 minutes later. It wasn't in lost and found. Just hoping whoever picked it up would rather have money then my disc.

Keep in mind, this talk section is for all of Hudson Mills. It's kind of confusing because there's a link on each course's page, but they both point to this comments page.
So the question is: Hole C original or monster?
Joe Paczwa September 3, 2012 at 8:38am
Left yellow destroyer on C, $ if found.

I am pretty sure those are Discraft baskets. I would guess you would need to talk to them about it. I am also sure theft would be a big reason why they wouldn't
