Course reviews

Really fun to play! There is a good variety of holes, but mostly wooded. The hard tees were not designed well, so I recommend playing the shorts. Even then, it is not an easy course. This is definitely one of my favorites in the area!

One of my favorite local courses.
Mostly wooded and good shade on hot summer days. Drives off throw pad will require some precision for hyzer shots, straights shots, & anhyzer shots. A challenging par 5 that requires a skillful "tunnel shot" off the pad.
Very fun , scenic, & beautiful course.
Bring bug spray.

Seems like better upkeep from past few summers, very fun course to play. Pars are too generous on some of the holes from the short tees.

Not for beginners typically. Challenging with plenty of shot types needed. Woods can be unkempt at times and really makes playing frustrating. When mowed and kept up its a must play course!

A friend and I decided to play here because we are in the area and the reviews were so high! Both of us were extremely unimpressed with the course. The holes are VERY long and through unkempt woods. There is a swampy like creek that goes completely through two different holes, you are almost guaranteed to throw your disc in. Maybe we aren't good enough quite yet for this course but both of us thought it was not fun. Be ready to lose at least one disc playing this course.

Played it for the first time and really enjoyed the layout. However, there were a few holes that were hard to figure out where to throw to. The back few holes need some maintenance.

Played here yesterday and it was worth the wait. A very long and challenging course that requires all your shot making abilities and discs. Soggy after a heavy rain so wait unless you don't mind the mud. Plenty of signs to navigate the course. Easily a top 5 or at worst top 10 course in Ohio and to anyone who rates this course a B or lower, then you must be a professional so hats off to you! A must play if in the area.

throw over a river is a bit exciting and nerve racking but course is fun, challenging and long

Course is fun and long. Just a few to many trees to get around for my liking.

The long tees here are very challenging. Lots of variation and some real world class holes. Signage is some of the best I have seen but there are a few holes that seemed out of place when looking at the overall design. If I could get rid of 2 of the holes this place would be a solid A.

Not for beginners. Water hazards and lots of foliage around fairways to lose a disc. Challenging for intermediate and advance levels. Good course overall, good signage and tees.

One of the toughest courses I've played, this course requires precision in tight quarters. The park uses the geographic features in the park; Holes 1, 4 and 14-18 play up, down, and across a pretty large hillside; hole 5 is set on the bank of a pond; and holes 6-9 play along/across a creek. Distance-wise, it's not the longest course; shortest holes are 220, longest push 660 (from the long tees). Most holes are between 275 and 345.
The defining characteristic of the Fairborn course is tha ...

Overall I love this course. It's just not a good as it can be. The par's from the shorts is way to high. I believe it should be around 56-58 not 66. The par from the longs (67) seemed fair from the longs in there current condition. The tee sign distances seemed to be off. All the issues I have are problems that can be fixed.
I look forward to visiting here again.
1: Great hole from the shorts and longs.
2: Good hole from the shorts, just not a real clear route. Poor from the longs. There ...

Nice mix of woods and open, some elevation changes. Watch for poison ivy in a few spots.
There is one serious problem with the course, though. Holes 7 and 8, if I remember the numbers correctly, are throws across swamps. The types of swamps that don't have any water leaving— no water flows out of them normally, so they stink, literally, and it's easy for a disc to bounce off trees and into some of the nastiest mud you've ever run across. Skip these two holes.

If you rate this course anything less than an A+ it must be because you hit too many trees. Easily the hardest course I've ever played. Every par you get is earned. I was lucky to birdie a few holes, but there's a 600 ft hole in the woods that took them back. Finished +3 and I was ecstatic.

Very well groomed with outstanding signage. My compliments to Handyman Ace Hardware and the Fairborn park district. This course is an example of how to create a first class course.
I found the course both challenging and interesting with a good mix of hole lengths and trips through the woods. However, I can see where the overweight on wooded holes might discourage inexperienced players.

This is a beautiful course and well-marked. If it is your 1st time playing it, you should not have any problem navigating your way around.
Just be careful of that nasty swamp on 7, 8, 9.

This course is very rough. I find that the course makes you chose what line to hit a tree. There is minimal fairways on the wooded holes.

Just because one can make a hole 500+ doesn't mean one should. This would be top five course if it was 24 holes in the same space, practically. Way too much luck factor, hit or miss, and crap that parks itself. Played like ash and beat my friend even though his drives were more pure- I got lucky and he didn't.

GREAT course, plays long even from the AM tees, long tees are insane, makes you use every shot that you have, or makes you learn them, just an incredible course, wooded holes galore, water shots, a MUST play.

it's a well designed course. Very challenging,by far the hardest course i've played. It's my home course. plus the stink creek on hole 7&8. Don't go in the creek, it's a muddy sewage pit w/ leeches, snakes and lil snappy turtles. Thats the pros. Cons: too many trees. summer is mosquito city worse by the creek. the creek.

Great course with lots of variety. I had an issue with one of the tee pads, but the rest of the course is fun and very challenging. I have a feeling my rating will go up after I've played the long tees. Wish I lived closer, I'm sure this course would be good for my game. Played it again this weekend, gets better every time.

A brilliant course: good sized cement tees for shorts and longs, fantastic signage on shorts and longs, many holes with varying water hazards, distance and finesse a must, good variation of throws and elevation, lots of undulating fairways, some litter, but not much, no signs of broken limbs, etc. A must play if you're in the area. I hope to play this course again soon.

Amazing pro level course. In the summer you're going to want water, bug spray, and plenty of time to play.

what a course and it's new. The Fairborn community hit a home run with this course. Lots to work with in the future and it's a challenge. The course has a great mix of short and long holes, wooded and open. Once it wears in, I think this place would be an A+.
I like that the underbrush was removed, but I think the club should remove a few of the smaller trees and more of the vines and low hanging brush (say up to about 20 feet). That will allow for more high anhyzer shots in the woods an ...

As Co-Designer I am bias towards this course. I will be honest in saying that the course is RAW and will break in well. I am able to see this course for what it will be in a year. The design is challenging in the sense that it will force a player to use all the shots in their bag and learn shots they don't normally play.

I gave this course a B+ for now, but in a year's time, this course will be an A+. Just needs to be broken in. Great course.
