Elk Creek

This is my home course, so I've seen Elk Creek in different seasons and conditions. The course is tightly wooded, with only 2 holes (1 and 16) having open fairways. Everything else is in the woods, and if your tee shot goes off the preferred line, you're going to have a tough time even making par. This is my home course, so I've seen Elk Creek in different seasons and conditions. The course is tightly wooded, with only 2 holes (1 and 16) having open fairways. Everything else is in the woods, and if your tee shot goes off the preferred line, you're going to have a tough time even making par. That said, Elk Creek is a fantastic course; challenging, but very enjoyable.

Pros: Great course design, use of natural elevation changes, variety of holes (short/long, left/right), well maintained (during the spring/summer), nice descriptive tee signs, practice basket.

Cons: some of the fairways are almost TOO tight, course can be busy during spring and summer weekends due to nearby little league fields, red and blue tees are sometimes hard to find, some baskets/fairways are difficult to locate.

Final note: I know this may be picky, but the practice basket is so close to the wood line near the first tee that it restricts warm up putts.
