I left a fly dye red, white and blue Flick on the left side of hole 15 today, rolled an annie flick and lost sight while it was still fading left. It clipped a few leaves but didn't sound like it hit anything solid so it may be a ways into the ferns and undergrowth there. It's something I traded for so it has my name and two others on it.

Thanks for clarifying things for me. I guess I did mis-read whay you wrote, my bad. I have found probably a dozen discs in the last year and always call if there is a number on it. I never ask for a reward and have only taken one when it was offered. Of all the discs I have lost, I have only ever been call one time.

The Ronin   June 7, 2014 at 1:24pm

too funny...you must smell really bad or something Lee...I haven't gotten a call about any of my lost soldiers in over 4 years. I hope my discs are being thrown straight by someone. I've even seen someone throw my disc I lost 5 holes prior while at blue lake. when I hollered to ask him a ... more

brian g   June 7, 2014 at 2:18pm

lol, my brother picked up a guys fun throw for him and noticed his own name on the back when he handed it back. made things a bit awkward for the rest of the round.

my friend Dillon lost a champion type plastic green/yellow prodigy D4 on hole 4 off to the left about 2/3 down fairway into some ferns. looked a half hour. fucking elves stole it.
i also lost a brand new tyedye red/yellow champion beast on hole 5, it hit a tree and cut right hard off RHFH drive into the brush near tee 6. looked 15 minutes. total mystery. third disc lost this month!
both discs have name and number. we will drive back down to play and meet anytime to retrieve them.
thanks!

I am wondering about the repair work on the two baskets at Camp Taloali that were recently repaired. Who did the work and was it donated time or paid time, and if paid time what was the charges? Just curious as basket 7 still seems not up to what it should be in my opinion. Better then nothing but just like to hear a follow up to this project.
Thank you
Steve

I'm hoping to make both days if my plans hold and get back in time. Thinking about Saturday stay at one hole each round doing tee offs of all folks. Sunday then I would probably wonder between top couple cards. Never done this before but even old guys can sometimes learn new things, if we want ... more

How will this effect the CCDG Sunday Random Doubles schedule?

Kayla Winslow    April 13, 2014 at 11:42pm

Anyone who is available: We're burning the wood pile out at Taloali at 1pm today! Any help would be much appreciated. Bring a shovel if you've got one!

Getting in from course and got lots of blowing off tee pads and area around them. Also cleaned up some walkout trials to make easier to locate and get around course. Nate and the camp crew were busy putting the new tee sign poles up for the future new signage. Also they were working on couple other projects. More news to come about future expansions and alternate tee pads and pin locations. Place is starting to come back to shape so please help us all by showing respect and remember to pay ... more

I really think Taloali is a gem. We came up from Eugene and everyone enjoyed the layout. New teepads are nice. Good flow. Big thanks to everyone that works on this course. We will be back

Mr CLEAN   April 15, 2014 at 1:04pm

Camp Taloali Update:

For anyone that does not already have plans for this Saturday, fresh from Nate Boyes about getting some work done on course. He will be down for a visit and work.

"We be there by 9 Saturday. Goal is to work on signs, some alt pin moving and installation and maybe do 2 more teepads. Want clear the alley fairway on 17. Moving 17a to new farther placement. Bring everything. We will need cement and water of course. Todd focusing on signs, I focus on alt pins. Then 2 ... more

Any of my friends from down south going to play here today? Or if you would like to join me, I'll be out here late in the afternoon. Let me know a time, I'm thinking around 3 or 4

Dallas Trower    April 7, 2014 at 7:51pm

It just occurred to me that camp taloali has two pin positions for every hole except hole 10. Sounds like a work party needs to be down so we can clear out some stuff and try and get a 2nd pin position in. Then every single hole on the course would have two placements. Get some legit tee signs in with both positions on it and this is a top 10 Oregon course all day.

Abso-effin-lutely!! I love the course! I call it a perfect mix of open and narrow, long and short. Kinda like if Adair and Milo had a baby...

Tyler Franklin   April 7, 2014 at 12:54pm

Sounds like a stroke of gene-ass.

Jason "Rooster" Bruster   April 8, 2014 at 9:51am

Or install a concrete TPad in the alt Tpad location way right of the existing Tpad.

at pro level i would think the pin position would not matter, just playing the couse should be enough!

Mr CLEAN   April 20, 2014 at 11:05pm

funny shit is the ignorant ass wipe <winslow> who posted layout on DGnews created such a bitch fest cause i changed the baskets around for 1 week and then corrected them back to what was said tobe the lso layout acctualy didnt even use the layout posted. acctualy reset the baskets to diffrent pin positions a week prior to the tourney and removed 2 baskets until just days before the lso.

Mr CLEAN   April 20, 2014 at 11:07pm

yea great communication there TD! ... but i forgive you

Kayla Winslow    April 6, 2014 at 6:46am

Just a reminder to everyone since there's been quite a bit of traffic out at Taloali:
This is a private, PAY TO PLAY course. It is $5 per person, and there is a collection box at the kiosk right right before hole 1. They also offer a yearly pass, which is $30 per person. (So if you plan on playing more than 6 times in a year this is a good way to go). Capital City Disc Golf Club league fees DO NOT cover the course fee.
Again, this is a private course. If people aren't paying, the Ca ... more

Thank you Kayla, The D.O.R.C.s league does ask all players to put in to the donation box on the rare occasion we play out there.

B Zastoupil   April 6, 2014 at 12:59am

Haven't played here yet, do you have to call ahead? or can you just go and pay? Thanks

Kayla Winslow   April 6, 2014 at 4:52pm

No need to call ahead, they do close to the public every so often due to it being a kids camp, but they usually inform us and we try to keep people in the loop. It's a great course though, definitely worth checking out!
