Yes thanks to those that made it, I spent my time in long meeting today but that is part of my new job as board member deal with the whole camp not just the course which is my main purpose. If anyone can get a woodchipper deal donation we will plan one day to do all piles we are making now. Also the big burn pile area in middle course will be used for some items also. More details to follow but another good meeting today. Thanks all that have and want to help out.

Isn't it crazy that for years we paid taloali money to play and they never improved or cleaned up the course. Seems kinda funny that now that still want to charge us money and have us clean it up aswell? Dang seems like a never ending cycle with that placre

We paid money to the camp. The money we paid was suppose to go towards course upkeep. Taloali never did any course maintenance to the course with that money we paid. So why keep paying them money if they want everyone else to clean up and maintain the course? That's all I'm saying erik.

The problem is that they don't have anyone to do the work at maintaining it. 98% of the work force for tolali are volunteers they barely make enough money each year by the camp goers to stay open and the money they collect from the course goes into renting that portapotty. Fact is that some things need the kindness and support from other to remain and this is one of them. So again if you don't have anything constructive to contribute then don't because at this point it doesn't help anything.

I feel for me the best way to access Taloali is through "Family membership" during "Members weekends".

At this point of time there is no memberships. Course open days will be announced as and when they are available. It will take some time to work out all details, that is why I am working so closely with camp at this time and applying for a board position to represent disc golfers.

I know this means I won't be able to play ANYTIME I want or wile camp is in session but the $50 for annual membership to help the camp continue seems like a bargain too me. I understand cabins, disc golf course, covered area has additional cost but I'm willing to be part of a membership that has access to those features.

I think Camp Taloali "Family membership" sales could help with costs and help members know who is responsible for failure to clean up afterwards. If ONLY members have access as per a schedule, you would be risking loosing your membership by no following the rules.

Dallas is right. If you want a pay to play course, no one should be expected to volunteer. If you don't want a pay to play, everyone should help where they can to take care of the course. It really is not fair of a facility to expect the best of both worlds. That being said, it is a private course and they will ultimately do what they want to do. Everyone can make their own decision if they agree or not and certainly everyone should be a safe to voice a respectful opinion negative or otherwise. I do intend to volunteer to help get the course in order. I know Steve is working hard in communication with the course operaters to reach a deal. Hopefully an agreement can be reached and the private course will continue to be involved in the local disc golf community. It is obviously a very well liked course. Unfortunately a few bad eggs can ruin things for everyone. Has the idea been put out there to host an annual event as a fundraiser for the facility? A disc golf tournament and possibly some other activities if the course/facility operators were willing to work as a team with prominent figures in the disc golf community. Grow the sport and support Taloali.

Very well said Jenn, I am trying to make this work for all, and it will take folks to make it happen. I am looking for assistance to make this happen, can make no promises about anything at this time other then that. For those that have issues, happy to hear them out as some of them are those I am trying to resolve. It was sad when Nate Boyes left area some time back as due to lots of reasons course has not been maintained or issues handled properly for many years. All volunteer time time will be recorded and any projects will have approval and before and after photos taken of task. For those that assist in this project as it moves forward, I say thank you and will do what I can. For those not interested in helping out at this point, I can only hope you will appreciate the work being done by those that do. Thank you and will keep all posted as I know more. Maybe see some of you saturday, i plan on being there at 9 with meeting at 10. Will be back on course after that. Let's grow the sport and give back to make better for all in the long run

The camp has Givin up on the course. They charge us to play and don't maintain the course at all. Taloali could be legit but they just don't care about the disc golf.

Have not played Taloali since the 2014 liquid sunshine...saddens me to hear that it is not being cared for. One of the better courses in the valley.

CCDG is working with the Camp Taloali staff/board to keep the course open all summer. We all hope that by next summer it will be!

If not hen I may try to go into meeting with the camp Board over summer to see what kind of proposal can be put in place to work for both the camp and disc golfers alike I what could be one of the finest courses in area if dealt with properly.
