Was practicing out on the field and left a purple bio fuzion tresspass out there... Just traded for it didn't really like it, probably said Zach Keasling on the back with his #. Traded for 14 of his discs. Threw them all and forget one doh!

check with the park staff, if they find a disc they hang on to it til someone claims it.

This Saturday, November 9th, we are hosting a fundraiser at the Michigan State University Disc Golf Club! We are hoping to raise enough funds to put in our three missing baskets, get course signage, and help send our team to Georgia for the NCDGC! We have several CTPs, and will also be having a raffle and ace pool. Come on out for a fun day of golf on our new layout!

Left my prodigy F2 under the pine trees, by the parking lot, last night at summer league. Did anyone pick this disc up? I will give a disc to whoever returns it to me.

Hey just an FYI I went out their earlier this afternoon to look for my lost plastic. By pine trees by the parkinglot I assume you mean the line of pines parallel to the parking lot. I searched up and down, I searched the field, and even the pines surrounding the field by hole one and saw no sign of ... more

Thanks it is gone. I had it during warm ups and just left it there I know it was there because someone was asking me if I liked it. I walked away from the thing. Too bad it was loving the new fitz course.

Went to Burchfield today with a plan to play both courses. After 3.5 hours on Devil's Den I quit after 17 holes; I was tired of looking for my Buzzz and the lightning got closer. Spending most of the time looking for drives in the rough causes me to wonder. With all the attention given to the fairway mowing, is the plant growth right off the fairway an intentional part of the course design? It is difficult to imagine how that growth will appear by the time the CCR Open happens.

yes i see your point, although 17 is a island hole, and if you dont hit the island, you re-tee. But definately, the waist high rough is time consuming of a round. i lost a yellow avenger off to the right of the fairway on 7 today, didnt think it went that far in, but couldnt find it after 20 mins.

Jim Knudson   July 1, 2013 at 8:52am

Tough course Fred. Bring a spotter or 2!

Fred Vocino   July 1, 2013 at 1:02pm

Jim, I think the course leaders understand the rough overgrowth issue. With time, the intended obstacles will develope, and reliance on large sections of hay will diminish. I expect to like Burchfield more as a good balance of rough is found. I play a course in Grand Rapids that is very open and rel ... more

This a request that someone who regularly plays at Burchfield gives an occasional post so that people can see when the courses have drained enough to be playable. Note : a few sloppy spots are to be expected

on the other hand, it's been raining for two days straight now.

Justin Abram   June 25, 2013 at 6:55pm

expect Rivers edge to be mushy, if not flooded on some holes. Renegade's Trail should be mostly okay with some standing water in the bowls, 11's fairway and 17.

Fred Vocino   June 25, 2013 at 7:12pm

Thanks, most of my concern was that the spring rains had drained. These next few days will hopefully soak in by early next week.

Harold Fernando    June 21, 2013 at 3:48pm

Threw a Star Destroyer in the shit past long pin hole 2 at Renegade's Trail. Has initials HPF and my phone #. Please call or give to Rinker. Thanks.

Cool Justin, we were out at Burchfield over Memorial Day weekend at the skeeters were BAD, on both courses. Had one bug named Rocco steal my dang VIP King. If you guys up there see this mosquito, steer clear, one tough bugger.

Justin Abram   June 14, 2013 at 9:37pm

haha, I didn't find any Kings out there today. That's a bummer, man.

Jon Tucker    June 9, 2013 at 6:32pm

Lost a green champion wraith with big clover in black marker on rivers edge. It would b great if I could get this one back. Also lost a yellow z surge on hole 3 long basket on devils den. Just hit an ace with it last week!!! If any one finds these a reward is up!!

Little help from a local? What is the story with Devil's Den, Rivers Edge and Burchfield. Three courses? Are they all open? Have anyone played the course with Deep Woods Off, or is that not helpful. Skeeters are horrible everywhere right now. We are thinking about heading up that way to play for a day or two. Any feedback would be great.

We played singles leagues on rivers edge last night. The only time we didn't have to contend with mosquitoes is when it was absolutely downpouring. We were using off deep woodsman deet, which claims to be 98% and it was more or less useless. We reapplied it several times to no avail. The course ... more

Phil "Puttimus Prime" Common    May 17, 2013 at 4:45am

I would strongly suggest anyone thinking about playing here in the near future to reconsider. I have never witnessed so many mosquitoes in one place at one time in my entire life. It was completely overwhelming and miserable. I love the course and drove over an hour to play it, but walked off after 7 holes of Rivers Edge cause we couldnt take it anymore. Hopefully the park staff takes immediate action to solve this problem or i dont think i will be enjoying this amazing course for many months.
