Do you like losing discs? Then this course is for you!
I played this course daily for 2 weeks. I lost 5 discs in the absolute jungle of bramble that dominates anything off of the fairway. The teepads are way too small, the course signs are incorrect, and it's not clear where the next tee pad is at any given time.
It's just not a fun course. Skip this one. Save your discs.

It's not hard to understand why people hate this course, but it does get bashed a little harder than it should. My advise would be to mow all the brush and set it up differently as a begginer course by someone that knows what they are doing. Medina has the only begginer course around. Lets get something in the Akron area we can use to get begginers excited about the game. A course that is simple to play while still giving them the shots they need to learn to be succesful on the other area courses without the extremely horrible chance of losing a disc.

This had such great potential with the beautiful playground for the kids and the awesome baskets. I wanted to be able to take my kids to play a round of golf and then let them play at the playground. I just can't be looking for my disc for hours every time I throw one time.

I fell in a hole when I was 3 years old and that was the last time the course was playable. I hope the park service will start maintaining it better than i would be able to play there more often.

It's MTV favorite park and love the disc golf course

This Disc-Golf course is barely kept up, is hard to find the entrance to, is only 9 holes, and can get pretty swampy. I have lost plenty of discs at this place and will not play it anymore unless it gets better upkeep. It does have nice baskets though which is why I did not fail the course.

Tough to find...no map or course overview. The original lines are over grown and high grass eats the discs.

Played this course because we had about an hour of free time. It was the last course on our list of local courses, and it was by far the worst. I've played every course within 20 miles of the university of akron, and this holds the spot as the worst. Not even worth playing once. Regretted the decision, even wadsworth's 9-hole is better than this.

I hate this course, please take the baskets and put them at Massillon.

alot of briars and tall grass to start. the course layout isnt that bad. A good selection of shots couple short holes and a couple long holes. the baskets are really nice too but......... the tee signs are all wrong with the lengths by 100 feet and this course is nice in early spring but i probably wont go there when all the vegatation is growing yikes

Distance off on most tee's pads, I took new measurement twice on each run. Posted on here.

Horrible. The baskets should be put to better use somewhere else. I try to appreciate the effort that is put in when a course is laid but its hard to give it a better rating. The layout is hard to follow. The fairways lead nowhere. I was always just throwing over the rough to get to the basket. The rough is ROUGH (it was dying and was still a bear). The park itself is beautiful and one of the best around. I have more fun just throwing in a field than playing this course.

This course could be good with the amount of land available but as is it sucks. The more you get into the middle of summer the more veg. you have to deal with just like at schnieder park. They need to get some disc golfers in that know what there doing and redo this course so it can be that awesome 9 you actually wanna play. If not for the knee high weeds and grass the flies were terrible this year and I think if everything was mowed it would help with that and seeing as how we were in a drought ...

This course is probably really cool for people who can only throw about 100 feet or so. Not a surprise that I didn't see anyone else playing. At least my daughter had fun at the playground. That's why I rated it an F+ instead of an F.

The tee pads are 3feet long, the rough is up to my waste, there are only nine holes, and none of the signs for the holes even come close to discribing the holes. We're talking about 100ft off on distances. What a waste of good baskets. I guess its worth playing if you play portage lakes too or live 5 mins away.

only played 9 because of how much i disliked the course

Unrealized potential! This course is difficult to follow and it's very easy to get stuck in thick vegetation, thorns, and even swampy areas. This course is also very wet at different times. The bugs are bad in the summer! Okay for all levels, but not worth a special trip.

Ok, Lets be honest, this course is really bad... Hole 1 starts off with a crazy right... making it almost impossible. Hole 2 + 3 arnt too bad, then after that its down hill (and not in elevation.) the rest is a large flat field with alot off annoying trees and grass and bushes (unplayable once it grows up.) the holes are scattered about this area. And to make it worse, the tees are super small, and the distances and illustrations on the signs are NOT accurate at all, making the pars in accurate too. Overall i recommend only using this course to practice putts..

Where to start... first hole is an impossible dog leg to the right. All of the tees were only about 2 feet to short, couldn't really get a good start. The distances on all the holes were way off (doesn't take a masters degree to measure distance). Several times I had to wander off into thick brush looking for my disc which could of been by my feet and I wouldn't of known it. The maps don't show the correct way to the basket. Hopefully you can throw between a 10' row of trees or else you won't ma ...

Probably a nice course in early spring. Once the grass starts to grow, you spend more time looking for your discs than you do playing.

course is playable now that the vegitation is dying off, and i have noticed some improvements, on hole 3 they have removed the brush between the tee and basket and they fixed the drainage ditch so you dont have to walk back up 2s fairway to get to the basket. I play here because it's 5 min from my house which is helpful now that it gets dark so early. it's a nice park and has nice baskets and some of the holes are challenging.

The only reason I didn't fail this course is because it has beautiful disc catcher baskets. Lets see where did this go wrong... Lets start out by saying that none of the distances on the tee signs are correct. Some are off by better than100 feet. The pictures on the signs don't really resemble the course layout. I don't like playing this course 2/3 of the year because of the surrounding vegetation. Most (not all) fairways are 15 - 20 ft wide with waist high grass on both sides. If you miss these ...

Average park. In the spring the fairways were mowed, it wasn't a challenge to find plastic. Maybe a local player could address this with the parks people for a little more TLC. You will have to bring your shots here though. It plays like links type ball golf, not a lot of trees but accuracy is rewarded.

Only played once in the summer time. The 1st 3 holes are decent, but after that it's terrible. The remaining holes consist of a 15' wide mowed strip of fairway surrounded by waist high brush on both sides. Spent more time looking for discs than playing, did not finish the round.
