Headrick design(you had me at Hello!), so much fun! Oldest/first course in Missouri (1979)! Loved this place. You play this course because of the disc golf history here. This course provides a glimpse of what the game once was. True, it is a short course, but it still has much to offer and can be thoroughly enjoyable to play. Ace runs on every hole! Death putts around every corner!
Great use of the land and terrain, resulting in just gobs of natural obstacles. From trees to gorges to creeks, this course really has a lot for you to work around, and despite its shortness, you really do have to work and concentrate to earn your pars and birdies.
Heavy Traffic in the evening . It seems like this course is always backed up. One night I showed up for league Wednesday night and they had over 100 players. Needless to say I went early the next a.m. and went around twice. Plus, with the fairways running so close together, there is a constant concern of hitting (or being hit by) another disc golfer.
The course, particularly the front 9, has really seen better days, and erosion seems like it has really done a number on it. You may want to avoid this one if it has rained recently, as it can be extremely muddy and slippery in spots.
The tee pads are also way too short, and while most holes don't really require a run-up...it would be nice to have more of an option.
Navigation is also a pain( I got turned around once if not twice), as the holes are not particularly well marked, and can be quite difficult your first time or two to figure out where to go to and where to throw to. One of my all time favorite courses, Top 20!
