Sunstein LLP, 501, GMT, NEFA, and Disc Golf 978 are teaming together to host the 2024 Sunstein Open at 501 Disc Golf Course, in Warren MA!
This will be a 3 day Memorial Day weekend tourney (May 25-27th), held at the beautiful 501 Disc Golf Course where the MPO division will be playing two shotgun start rounds at 501 on Saturday (May 25th). This event will be also be a 2X multiplier for the Sunstein Series (being tracked by Stat Mando), increasing your chances to getting into the Grand Prix, and will also count as regular season tourney toward the NEFA series. Sunstein LLP is the featured sponsor, and will be contributing at least $750 in added cash to the event. Greatest Media Team will also be filming the MPO Feature Card (selected by Sunstein LLP), AND MPO Lead Card so start practicing, and get ready! Check out the video links for last year's coverage.
Schedule is as Follows:
1) Saturday May 25th - MPO
2) Sunday May 26th - Mens Am Divisions
3) Monday May 27th - Ladies Divisions
Layouts: for MPO Divisions
Round 1: Blue to Blue
Round 2: Green (Odds) / Blue (Evens)
No Players Meeting will be held. Meeting notes will be emailed day prior along with tentative starting holes.
PDGA Electronic Scoring will be used (email will be sent week of for access details and course rules). Everyone MUST keep score!
No 2 Meter Rule in Effect
Pros Playing for Cash Winnings (PayPal)
All OB will be Observed
If in doubt, Take A Provisional!
Preliminary schedule:
8:00 AM - Registration opens
8:55 AM - Check In cutoff. If not checked in, will be declared a NO SHOW
9:15 AM - Round 1
12:00 PM - Lunch (On your own, quick turnaround, will end no later than 45 minutes after last card)
1:30 PM - Round 2
4:45 PM - Awards/Refreshments by Bent Water Brewing Company & Sunstein!
We do have plans to have some sorta of award ceremony for podium finishes so feel free to stay around and watch them get showered with champagne and flowers! Disc Golf 978 will also be available for any last minute on day needs, or gift ideas.
MPO winner will automatically qualify and be invited as a registrant to the Massachusetts Grand Prix, being held at Maple Hill DGC, on Oct 20th 2024.

We will make use of the PDGA live scoring. Cards will shuffle between rounds one and two based on place. An announcement will be made by email and on the tournament FB page to indicate round 2 start time. Hole assignments will be updated on the PDGA tournament site.
