On Saturday, April 4th, we will be having a fundraiser event at Play It Again Sports in Lyndhurst. Play It Again Sports does carry disc golf discs from several manufacturer's so it would be a good time to stock up for the upcoming disc golf season!

Hey all, I just got approval from the city to start up a night time glow league at Osborne park next spring. I don't have all the details hammered out yet but I wanted to start getting the word out and gauge interest in the league. This is something me and few buddies have been messing around with this past summer and I think we have a solid game style. Hey all, I just got approval from the city to start up a night time glow league at Osborne park next spring. I don't have all the details hammered out yet but I wanted to start getting the word out and gauge interest in the league. This is something me and few buddies have been messing around with this past summer and I think we have a solid game style. We wrap the baskets in EL Wire which makes the basket position visible from the launch pad. Players can use whatever they'd like in the way of discs. We've had a lot of good success using glow in the dark discs and the LED stickers.

The league will be open to all skill levels and at this point will be a singles league. As of now I'm planning on this being a weekly league that meets on the weekends, most likely Friday nights.

This is the first time I've run a league so I'm open to any suggestions you guys may have. Thanks!

Update on Painesville!! Well basically the ok was given to install a 9 hole course later to become 18! The issue now will be fund raising about 5,000 needed to complete 9 hole starter course?? with a start construction date in May! I am donating funds as I think Ninja also for the first 2 holes and several Painesville companies are being pitched to donate funds! All in all a total go!! We will meet again in Dec to try to finalize the timetable and suggest layouts. If you know of any companies or ... more

Hello. My name is Greg Miller. I have just started playing disc golf this past summer and immediately got hooked! Since playing most of the courses in the area, I have realized there is quite a distance between the local courses. After talking with a few guys about what it takes to get a course installed, I have been in touch with the Painesville Recreation Department as well as Mickey Anderson, who for the last few years, have been trying to accomplish the same thing. Next month we have a meeting scheduled to finalize the details of putting a disc golf course in Painesville Recreation Park! We have a lot of work ahead of us, but all signs are pointing in the right direction. This winter we will continue to do some fundraising which will involve acquiring donations from local business' and putting on a few fundraising events, the first of which will be a disc golf tournament held at Painesville Recreation Park with temporary baskets on Sunday, November 2nd. I am posting this to raise awareness in the disc golf community and to ask for your support. If you have any questions, or would like to get involved in helping us with this effort, please send me or Mickey a private message. I look forward to making this a reality in bringing disc golf to Painesville!

Disc golf friends, I am desperate need of help at Westbranch (The Grassman) 9 holes are installed but a little more cleaning up need done on the front.

The back 9 is where i need the most help. Over than past few months myself and a park worker have been cutting and trimming on the back 9 so we can get the baskets put in by the end of April. I need help clearing the fairways of all the trees and brush we have cut down. I will be going out on Saturday April 5th at 9am to work. Iâ€&t ... more

Reminder...North Coast Disc Tossers start the Sun league today at 10am at the Oz and throughout the winter, Sundays at 10am. Next Sun will not be played as it is the Painesville benefit tourney.
